OK - I'll add another...
Our Boys: 42
The Traveling Bears: 24
This one will shock most everyone how not even close it ends up being... (But maybe I'm just in fantasy land...)

When will "It's better than what we had" no longer be good enough for App State?

Thanks BigC
Looking for a lower scoring game. Our D survives the loss of Middleton in the D backfield, but our O running game struggles with replacements.
Griz - 16
App - 20

I have more positive thoughts than most people on this board. I am one of few who supports Jerry Moore and the coaching staff and say lots of good things about the SoCon, contrary to many peoples' posts.ASUMountaineer wrote:Have you ever had a positive thought? I'm just being as objective as I can. Too, I'm not the only one in this thread who thinks the odds are against us. My heart is with the Apps and hope I am wrong about the outcome.

I'm thinking this will be a big win for ASU. ASU by 2 TD's.

If it rains, UM wins 17-14....
If its sunny, App takes advantage with it's passing game, and wins 24-17......
This game is real tough to call, and could go either way.
Up with Montana Boys!!!!

Re: Official No Grizzlies in our Mountains prediction thread
Thanks Big C! Also looking forward to cornhole on Saturday!
I have been fortunate enough to attend both of our previous meetings in Montana. As others have said, Montana fans are great so let's treat them well in Boone.
I expect another exceptional ASU-Montana game Saturday night. While many have focused on ASU's personnel losses, Montana has had their share of player losses as well. Regardless, these are the 2 best overall football programs in FCS and both will be very good again this year.
While ASU is young, we are experienced at key positions such as QB, ILB, and 2 senior leaders at DB. The good news for our younger players is that we play at home this week in front of a friendly crowd (and hopefully friendlier zebras). Both ASU and Montana were more impressive last week on the stat sheet than on the scoreboard. Montana is historically tough in the trenches. The weather trends are beginning to brighten. As long as we avoid a constant downpour, I don't think the weather will be a factor. In the end, I believe the 2 primary factors of the game will be that ASU is at home in front of a big crowd and ASU has much more experience at QB (UM has a redshirt FR). Regardless, Montana is still a very tough opponent who won't go down easy. Can't wait for this one! Prediction:
Apps 27
Griz 23

Re: Official No Grizzlies in our Mountains prediction thread
My Wii NCAA FB is a few years old, but ASU did win 42-21 on a FG with 20 seconds left in the game.Histor3 wrote:Mountaineers: 24

I predict a score of 21-17 in favor of the Grizzlies with three minutes or less on the clock when the Mountaineers get possession. Jackson to Malachi Jones for the clutch TD. After we're in the lead, the Grizzlies will try to make some major plays in the air with little time on the clock. Our defensive backfield will secure the game with an interception. The Rock will be heard throughout the Appalachian Mountain Range as the game clock hits zero.
This is my very generic signature added to each post.
Re: Official No Grizzlies in our Mountains prediction thread
Best in the West-17
Beast in the East-28
If App can stuff the run I don't think our Frosh QB will be able to lead the team down the field with a pass first mentality. We'll get some points on sheer athleticism and maybe a trick play or two but we won't be able to keep up. Griz success will depend on rushing attack and taking the pressure of needing to throw down field off our QB.
The heart says UM 28 ASU 13,![Cool 8-)](./images/smilies/icon_cool.gif)
