I defended Ponce on this board earlier in the week, but I’m losing a lot of faith watching this game. You KNOW you have to control the clock and you KNOW their defense isn’t very good, yet the offensive play calling seems obsessed with “balance.” Just run the dadgum ball a hundred times!

It’s not over but you couldn’t have started the half in a worse way.

Yep. I mentioned it earlier this season, it's like watching rec league football. Trying g to grt "everyone involved" . Can't do that in big boy football.

This shouldn't be a surprise to us. We have regressed all season. Hence my questioning of contract extensions. This game isn't over but it sure does feel that way.

Please enlighten me as to the rules on this board? We are not allowed to mention players in thread titles? I correctly pointed out our starting quarterback overthrew two passes and turned the ball over and the thread was nuked. If there is a rule about that so be it but I didn’t even put him down. I simply pointed out the drive. Yet all I’m reading is how much our teams collectively sucks for 3 pages. This board is pretty ironic

They score so easy. I'm an optimist but I am also a realist. Told my wife before the CCG that this was the start of App football taking a hit. Not sure for how long but we've been riding high for a few years, has to happen eventually.

I think that's the point....when we have 26 seniors who went 13-1 as sophomores and juniors....but under Shawn Clark have 0 conference titles and are worse than an 8-5 CUSA team is....our program is not where it needs to be.

I’m gonna throw this out. Why do some of you guys absolutely believe that this is the most talented team ever? I mean this bunch of guys has done great things but last year was rough for many reasons and our bowl game was a joke. Just because some guys return doesn’t mean they stay great. Some guys regress. I could point out a few but won’t.

I know alot of the old guard fans are loving this. They are just overwhelmed with their love for Shawn no matter the result.

I have bigger dreams for our program.

In 2019 our current seniors were sophomores and juniors with 2-3 conference titles, 2-3 bowl wins and had just come off a 13 win seasons.

Imagine telling them....you will keep all of these players and many will stay an extra year. But the new coach will deliver 0 conference titles, a 2-7 record in games that we are less than a 5 point favorite (beat Coastal by 3, marshall by 1, lost to marshall, coastal, miami, louisiana 3x and WKU) and your first bowl loss.

It just sucks how we have squandered the talent we have.

Go be a fan of those teams then. We have a standard here. We will never reach our goals as a program tolerating this.

No part of me believes they are the better team. They are kicking our ass, but they are not the better team. Sadly, it is becoming all too common for us to struggle against any team that has a pulse.

Exactly right about Chase. And I again feel like the ay design doesn't fit his skill set and the swapping in and our of WR personnel throws off timing and rhythm. Christian Wells isn't Corey Sutton, and Evans isn't Henni, etc etc. Understand what you do well and just do it.

Those of you who keep crying about how bad our coaches are and how we have regressed so much..what do you suggest we do? fire clark? people forget we are not the only team in the nation that returned a ton of players...EVERYBODY did. We did not go into the season with this rediculous advantage over everyone as some of you think. it was a blessing that hennegin, virgil, sutton, etc. came back...if it werent for the WCU oline transfer coming in..we would have struggled much more up front....Chase has been really good all year. We have 10 wins...if we are competing for a championship ...which we did...and getting to and winning bowls...which we have 6 years in a row and probalby 1-1 under clark...i mean what is there really to complain about? idk
