Re: Montana Viewing Parties
We're trying to find a place in ATL but keep running up against the UGA vs Clemson game in the same time slot and every redneck in GA is a Bulldawg fan. I'll post when we find a place.

ACK. Blincos is where I watch pretty much all the games I can't attend. Anyone know what happened?JonW wrote: At last check, Blinco's on Glenwood is closed. They have a sign on the door which reads, "Closed Until Further Notice."

Re: Montana Viewing Parties
Although I like the Triangle area overall, the truth is it's a pretty crappy place to be an App fan. There is no coverage at all by local TV and newspapers, cable here doesn't carry SportSouth, and it is very difficult to even find RADIO coverage of the games.Gonzo wrote:I just moved to Durham recently so I'm not familiar with much. Re: Montana Viewing Parties
No clue really; nothing seems to be posted about why they closed or if they'll reopen. I can talk to the owners/managers at Rudino's about showing all of the games which are on ESPN3. I'm sure if we give them enough business they'll have no problem hosting our viewing parties.97grad wrote:ACK. Blincos is where I watch pretty much all the games I can't attend. You might consider reaching out to the Triangle Alumni Association. I think they used to organize a lot of the events at Blincos.JonW wrote:No clue really; nothing seems to be posted about why they closed or if they'll reopen. Viewing Party in Asheville at Pack's Tavern. Pack's is a good friend to ASU and has offered to show the game. We need a volunteer to help by bringing a laptop to hook to their TV. I'm headed to Montana so I need a volunteer to help out.

Re: Montana Viewing Parties
So is this the move for everyone in the triangle area? My goal is to be around as many App fans as possible.JonW wrote:Gonzo wrote:I just moved to Durham recently so I'm not familiar with much. Well, taking matters into my own hands here. I have set up a viewing party for all of those in the Triangle area at Rudino's in Cary. They have confirmed the game can be streamed from ESPN3 on their projector inside. The address is: 1937 High House Road Cary, NC 27519. The more the merrier!

Re: Montana Viewing Parties
I emailed the alumni association to have them spread the word, but have yet to receive a response. I'm trying to spread the word as much as possible and haven't heard of any other viewing parties around the area.Gonzo wrote:So is this the move for everyone in the triangle area? 10/4. I'll be there with one lovely lady and possibly two State fans.JonW wrote: I emailed the alumni association to have them spread the word, but have yet to receive a response. I'm trying to spread the word as much as possible and haven't heard of any other viewing parties around the area.

Re: Montana Viewing Parties
I talked to the guys at "Somewhere in Augusta" bar/restaurant
http://www.somewhereinaugusta.com
and they said:
For sure- watching it on our lap tops, great wifi
Possibly- hooking a laptop up to a tv
Maybe- being shown on ESPN Game Plan. Will know tomorrow.
Call Neil @ 828 772 5272 if you can make it, GO GRIZ!

Re: Montana Viewing Parties
Thought I'd post this bit of info in this thread as well since there are plenty of us not going to Montana.
Viewing party list:
http://alumni.appstate.edu/events/series/1458
Check back often as more parties will be listed as new locations are received.

Re: Montana Viewing Parties
We now have a Viewing Party Scheduled for Atlanta. We will be at The Rose and Crown Pub at 1931 Powers Ferry Road, Atlanta, 30339.
This is a great place for the event. I suggest you arrive a little early as it will be packed. They have great food and many draft selections.

Re: Montana Viewing Parties
Pretty certain ESPN has the game on the GamePlan package. In the past you could purchase it per weekend for $25-$30. Good deal if you prefer to stay home and do not want to use ESPN3
Re: Montana Viewing Parties
Ocean Drive SC (NMB area) - Just got confirmation that Overtimes sports bar (Hwy 17) will have ASU @ Mont. on their gameplan at 9 pm Sat. Bruce the manager said all App fans are welcome.
