At the beginning of the 4th quarter, we were 10 points down and threatening to score to narrow the margin to 3 points. Two consecutive turnovers took us out of the game and we lost all momentum. To hear some of you guys talk, we just laid down completely.

I get it. The final score is embarrassing. We looked out of synch most of the night. We struggled and got whipped.

There is a lot to work on, but the comments from some of you guys are pathetic. Stop whining. It is ONE GAME. Let's see if we can start fixing some things before we hit our conference schedule. Personally, I was more embarrassed by the loss to the Citadel last year.

This team goes 6-6 if they are lucky. The SoCon is down this year. I'm trying to figure out which play book Satterfield was using. Did he lose it. No wheel routes, very few screens, no crossing patterns, no counters, no options, is this a spread or a pro style system, they have no identity. Running up the middle on 4th and 1. Whatever, time to get some sleep. The sun will rise. 2 years before our program can win any thing any way.

Bad play calling and tons of mistakes = an unprepared team = no coaching so far!

This kind of thing happens when you travel with 9 seniors to a good football team's home. This was one game. We are young. Plenty of mistakes were made. The mark of a team is how they respond to a loss like this. It's going to take a while to find out exactly where we are and get these freshmen enough experience.

Jamal does not look like he is completely recovered. He's not comfortable or confident. I know he was pressured a lot but he had happy feet even when he had time. Kam looked much more comfortable, even with the two turnovers. He's only a So. so that's to be expected. Satt has some choices to make at RB and QB.

The D wasn't as bad as it seemed. They just got tired and the inexperience shows up even more when you are tired. They will get better with each and every game. But the O has to find itself or we're going to need a 3 deep.

I'm not going to melt down after one game. I'm going to watch the next few weeks and look for improvement across the board. We'll see what happens.

Call a turd a turd. The season isn't over, the sun will rise tomorrow and I'll be in my seats next Saturday, but this was an embarrassing performance. We had about 8 minutes of game time where we actually looked like a football team. The rest of the night we looked lost. Almost all of it can be fixed this year except the lack of beef.

We looked terrible. We're App State. We shouldn't have to say "let's regroup and fix some things".
We have been pushed around for the past 5 years up front and nothings changed....

Let's be realistic, there were some question marks coming into the season. Those haven't been answered yet.

Agreed. We have some bigger OL's but they are Fr. Hopefully we can get them some experience and get them into the rotation. Our bigger beef problem is on the D-line. Coach Woody seems to like that but may have to rethink that as we start playing bigger and bigger teams.

I must admit that I expected a lot more from the team this year so I am quite disappointed by tonight's
performance. We were not prepared and Jamal looked rattled by the noise. It also seemed to take
a while for the play to be sent to Jamal so I'm sure that didn't help. I thought Bryant showed a lot of
potential. I am not ready to sell my tickets but I am hoping to see a much improved team in the coming
weeks.
I would like to comment on the Grizz fans. We have been treated so well by everyone out here. This
really is a great place to visit.

The fumble was a ball KNOCKED OUT OF HIS ARMS, not laid down. Also think the grizz did not have control before going out of bounds, should have been App ball on the 3 . Cut the score to 3 and a different game.

Yep. Of course many fumbles are caused by good defensive plays. This one certainly was. I agree with your comment though about controlling it in bounds. I thought he slid out of bounds before he showed control. Maybe I'm wrong as they only replayed it once and nobody wearing stripes (or in the announcer's booth) even mentioned it. Looked questionable to me. I think we're agreeing though. With a couple of very minor differences, this game is another classic and App could have pulled out the W.
