What game was it?

Unread post by Oldlknapp » Thu Oct 26, 2023 5:51 pm

One of The Satterfield years the team just couldn’t get it together. Then about half way through a game (mid season), it was like someone turned on the lights and as I recall they ran the table after that. Does anyone recall when it was?

Field goal to win at home vs Monroe. 2014 I think. They realized they could win and went from 1-5 to 7-5. I may be wrong on this though.
I would love to see that happen again. That's all I'll say

App was a touchdown underdog going into that one. Troy was cheeks that year.

Also, that was roughly 6 months after Iron Mike took over S&C, which he did in April 2014. He said it would take 6 months to see results and boy was he right. The previous S&C program was a joke.

Satterfield had told everybody in 2013 and 2014 that he was building for 2015 and beyond. So, there was a vision.

Thanks, my memory must be shot. I have no recollection of that game. The only one at Troy I remember is that big ass running back they had and we lost on a int to end our drive end of game. That must have been 2016...

Was that the game we pulled the redshirt and turned Shae Meadors loose?

If I recollect correctly, that Troy game was just after App got beat at home by Liberty. Fanbase was calling for Satt's head on a platter and we were 1-5. David Jackson made his "give an App a chance" plea and the rest was history.

Youngster...reminds me of a few months ago when a foursome of senior ladies waived my group through [all of us 60 plus] "You boys play on through" ...guess it's a matter of perspective , we chuckled about it the rest of the round.
