If you say so. Results are what matters not a hope and a prayer. Let’s see how next season goes.kornegaylw wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 2:07 pmWe weren't embarassed we got beat by a better team.
Would you say the same thing to the 2002-2004 or 2011-2015 teams? No you wouldn't. Teams have to learn how to be great. This group is learning how to be great.

You may not recall 2014, when App started 2-5. You may not remember 2004 where the back end of that season led to an unprecedented (up until that time) run of success.Pikapp79 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 06, 2023 7:30 pmHas it been a day? I'm seeing a lot of parallels to 2017 as well, where the team had amazing chemistry but dropped a few games they shouldn't have and got beat badly once. But the ending of that season led to the 2018 and 2019 run.
Growth matters as much as results. Improving by 3 wins in a season year over year in a vastly improved Sun Belt is encouraging, especially when you factor in what is coming back next year and hopefully the year after. Couple that with what Coastal, Georgia State, and JMU are losing.

Perhaps you can donate to the NIL Collective to help the ol' ball club out? Whether you like it or not, Clark has more skin in the game than 99.5% of people wanting him fired, or waiting for it. He played and took part in some historical App State teams. He's coached through some very historic moments. Now he's coaching through what is essentially the reinvention of the wheel for a relatively small budget program.Pikapp79 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 06, 2023 8:48 pmI hear ya. You don't jump over a dime for a nickel. ECU fired their alumni of a Head Coach in Ruffin McNeil and have been relative garbage every since. Careful what you wish for.

Sure he has more skin in the game and is paid well to produce. As far as NIL never will I send a penny. Don’t believe in it. Will leave up to you to make up the difference if you see fit.ericsaid wrote: ↑Wed Dec 06, 2023 9:19 pmPerhaps you can donate to the NIL Collective to help the ol' ball club out? If you'll never send a penny, I assume you also send pennies to Yosef (maybe you don't). If you don't believe in it, that's fine, but the rules of the game has changed and your lack of belief in them won't change the fact that App is at a disadvantage.Pikapp79 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 07, 2023 5:46 pmSure he has more skin in the game and is paid well to produce. So keep chiming in on wanting someone fired who has to deal with people of your persuasion. The next coach will deal with the same disadvantages and you'll still be saying "let's wait until next season".

And how he's compensated has nothing to do with anything. He can't donate to players so they come. He can't force the school to payout more to keep coordinators and position coaches around.Pikapp79 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 07, 2023 5:46 pmSure he has more skin in the game and is paid well to produce. You work with what you have and relative to what App has, both Clark and Kerns have been very, very good relatively speaking.

Miami's place kicker in transfer portal. He had 3 field goals vs Toledo in MAC championship game.

Can't use one program's experience to make these types of rules. Look at Troy... They moved on and got a great coach who won the championship in his first 2 seasonsspacemonkey wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2023 10:00 am^^^^^This is what all AppState armchair quarterbacks need to study. I mentioned his portal entry a few days ago, no word if he is playing. His back up on kicked 3 PATs this year.
Edit: He isn't listed on their roster now, so I would assume he is not playing.
