But if they knew that wouldn't they know that we want them to think, that we think, that they think, that we're going to pass and then they'd know that we were going to run, so we should really pass?
I agree with what you said and that's how some teams always convert on 3rd down. We think we can read them like we did on the prior two plays.
I think what the coach was referring to was that even with a less than awesome Defense he was able to tell what the offense was going to do good enough to stop some critical plays that gave them the game.
