Portal vs Grad rate for athletes
Is the portal (and NIL) the main reason our athlete grad rate is relatively low? I know our athletes are at least as intelligent as our rivals. 80 out of 1600 athletes. Or 80 out of approx. 4000 total grads.

To know that would require you to know how the internet works. How many Seniors did we have across all sports? Just look it up on the schools athletics page.

Is the graduation rate low, or is it just a small number of graduates? That is a very significant distinction that we would need to know before making a judgement.

Re: Portal vs Grad rate for athletes
The total number of students graduating overall was over 4000 and student athletes graduating was 80. What that rate or % is I'm not smart enough to calculate. Also it seems our difficulty of the academics is much more rigorous than some of our peers. Just don't know how much statistics it would take to determine the reason. I apologize, for the redundancy.

One has nothing to do with the other. You have to see the number of athletes across the program that are classified as seniors that walked.NewApp wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2024 8:10 am

Re: Portal vs Grad rate for athletes
Still not what I meant. The graduation rate would be the total number of graduates divided by the total number who should have graduated. The size of the whole graduating class is irrelevant. If we should have had 500 athletes graduating and we only had 80, then that would be a problem, but if we should have had 85 and we had 80, then that's pretty good.NewApp wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2024 8:10 am

You still haven't provided enough data to know if the small number of graduates is a problem we should be concerned about.

I see now. Just didn't know how much and exactly what data was needed.
