Interested to see what he has to say. I'm sure there will be some good stories and some bad ones.Parks&RecAPP wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2024 9:37 amhttps://www.instagram.com/reel/C8Ki8oku ... FiZ2U5bA==
Anyone else see this?
The Burger family appears to be excited that he is doing this based off their comments on the post.
This is the trendy thing for ex athletes- grab a mic and talk.

Re: Cam Peoples
I saw Cam at a bunch of games last year and he was always smiling and decked out in App gear. Based solely on that and absolutely no other information he appeared to be happy with experience at App.

Re: Cam Peoples
Funny coming from the guy that teases the board with I know something you don't know information all of the time. Boise State announcement didn't leave us waiting too long, and you are usually right with the "It's something you all will like/dislike disclaimer".
Of course the initial video is going to be intended to draw a following and an audience. What good would it do his purpose to just say "I'm a former App State running back, and I want to tell you about my experiences" and leave it at that with not much hype?
I think some on here are worried he's going to share some crazy information that will make national news. My guess is probably a few locker room stories, perhaps some practice or in game experiences that might have left him feeling some type of way. He's not the first player to do this, and won't be the last. It should be understood that there are positives and negatives in every situation.
I knew many of the players during the AE days, and as great as the coaches were back then, they had some stories that would have been interesting for some to hear on a social media or other public platform.
I'm personally not a fan of this method of delivery and will only watch his posts as they're presented on here and not follow them directly on IG. Fortunately we live in a country that allows this freedom. The unfortunate part is drama and controversy sells and he's looking to capitalize on what has worked for many others.

I can certainly understand where you would feel like I am trying to say, “I know something, that you don’t know.” I can see how it comes across that way. I can honestly say that’s not my intent. When it comes to App specific things like schedule announcements and unannounced commitments, I get told stuff because people trust me enough to not post it or not hang someone out to dry./\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2024 11:28 amFunny coming from the guy that teases the board with I know something you don't know information all of the time. But yes, the program and the department has its dirty laundry. And yes, to your point, there are a lot of stories that folks on here would like to hear but not all are good and not things that people actually want to believe to be true.

I watched ~15 seconds of that video w/the sound off
It’s a shame I’ll never get that 15 seconds of my life back.

There will always be different opinions, experiences and perspectives when you have a group of 100 guys each season. I’ll be interested in what he has to say as he experienced some of the highest and lowest times of the program during his tenure.
Regardless of any negative stories, I will still choose to believe that our program is ran with good intentions and to mold them into successful people, which is based on countless positive stories throughout our history.
I’ll also be interested to see if Cam will take any responsibility for the way 2022 ended, as he was suppose to be one of our 3 offensive team captains and leaders.

I was just picking with you about the I know something you don't know and completely understand why you don't just throw it out there before it's announced.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2024 11:53 amI can certainly understand where you would feel like I am trying to say, “I know something, that you don’t know.” I can see how it comes across that way. Re: Cam Peoples
That is one positive thing about when someone wants to put things out there like this, it allows others to ask questions, for validation of their words, receipts if you will, or like you said accountability.ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2024 12:45 pmThere will always be different opinions, experiences and perspectives when you have a group of 100 guys each season. Re: Cam Peoples
I like Cam, loved his infectious energy on the sidelines. I won’t pretend to know all the details, or pretend to know why he is doing this. I think it’s safe to say, his career didn’t pan out how he hoped. He appeared to have all of the physical tools. There was definitely some drama surrounding him. Some questioned his heart and his ego… Again, I know nothing of this so I won’t judge one way or the other.
I truly hope I’m wrong, but this almost seems like a desperate attempt for attention and clicks. There is A LOT of love for Cam among App Nation. Burning that bridge (no clue if that’s what he’s doing) might not be the best decision.
Regardless, I love this program, and wish Cam nothing but the best, and hope he continues to support and rep the Black & Gold.
GO APPS!!

Re: Cam Peoples
Talking bad about your former team isn’t a good idea. A lot of potential future employers would frown upon that type of behavior. Not sure if thats what Cam is going to do but if it is it’s a bad plan that will only get him a little short term attention.

Re: Cam Peoples
Meh. What would one expect him to say? “Hey, stay tuned. I’m gonna tell you about a bunch of nothing.” It might be entertaining, but I doubt it’s as provocative as some think.

No App State player in the last several years had their character assassinated by chirpy football program staffers more than Can Peoples.
