Re: Birmingham Bowl
Will be nearly impossible to pull out a W now but if the core group today comes back next season we may show some improvement along with some transfer in and a full squad.
Not a good game to watch, truly backyard ball but hey we are all Champions of Life!

Re: Birmingham Bowl
Wilson has been fun to watch a bit today but if he’s taking snaps for us next year we’re in trouble.appdaze wrote: ↑Mon Dec 29, 2025 4:30 pmIm just gonna say. Where the F has Wilson been. With our QB struggles its insane we didn't give this guy some snaps. If he was running the practice squad then the coaching staff knew he could do this and didn't even try it in games. I think what this shows is that money talks more than talent. The other 2 qbs had the donor paychecks and got the minutes instead of letting Wilson develop with some game snaps here and there to change the pace and get things moving. Just nuts. I hope Wilson stays.

Agreed. Good athlete though, and I’m glad he was willing to give his all.ah59396 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 29, 2025 4:51 pmWilson has been fun to watch a bit today but if he’s taking snaps for us next year we’re in trouble.appdaze wrote: ↑Mon Dec 29, 2025 4:30 pmIm just gonna say. They used up a lot of time, but missed the FG. Of course there is a flag on App State. We just can't get out of our own way.

Don’t forget the #1 ranked recruiting class in the conference!
Next year is going to be better. I guarantee it.

He certainly never produced a worst result, 5-6 was his worst year and now we will be 5-8 under DLo.WataugaMan wrote: ↑Mon Dec 29, 2025 4:53 pmShawn Clark (God rest his soul) would have produced a better result than DL.

Freaking refs need a punch in the nose. Stink ran into our punter earlier and a worse hit and no flag.

Considering you’ve said pretty much the same about Moore, Satt, and Drink over the years, it’s just the same sound from a one-note piano.WataugaMan wrote: ↑Mon Dec 29, 2025 4:53 pmShawn Clark (God rest his soul) would have produced a better result than DL.

I like your optimism, and I hope you are right. I am not sold that this staff can effectively coach college football at the G6 level.

17 play, 81 yard, 10:02 drive means the party is over until next year.

We really do shoot ourselves in the foot. Not that it matters at this point but this has been a constant theme.
Some folk showed well today who haven't really played this year. The next several weeks will be interesting.

Re: Birmingham Bowl
I may eat these words next year, but I think DLO can run an offense. I am hopeful to see a completely different offense next year. I think he will get his pieces in the off season and we will se a similar offense from what DLO was running at South Carolina. I predict it will be a duel threat quarterback and a dynamic run offense next year. Proud of these App guys that showed up and gave it their all today. Looking forward to 2026.

Re: Birmingham Bowl
THIS year. Shawn Clark wouldn’t have had to rebuild, and App would’ve won maybe 2-3 more games. App admin rolled the dice that a new coach, after an adjustment period, could make App better.WataugaMan wrote: ↑Mon Dec 29, 2025 4:53 pmShawn Clark (God rest his soul) would have produced a better result than DL.
Think of it this way, if you were a Stink fan, would you be happy with the season that Georgia Southern had this year? Because that’s probably what App would’ve done as well.
Let’s revisit this same time next year.
