I realize it’s still early days…but in terms of landing TP recruits, how are other SBC programs faring so far?

Seems SB teams have between 0-3 commits so far. Some have very few in the portal though as well. JMU has 3 commits currently.

This is all based on the 247 site.

This is a big one. He took legit visits to Baylor Georgia and A&M in HS. Was a late bloomer in the class though.

A lot of our guys stepping down in class of football. UNCC, North Alabama, GWebb…FCS etc.
Especially the previous HS classes.
Is it fair to say then that they probably should have not been here in the first place? That explains why we didn't have the horses to compete.

I can just imagine the sit-down Loggains had with this young man:

DLo: “We see from your film that you are skilled at catching footballs.”
Semaj: “Yes, that’s right.”
DLo: “We’re glad to see you aren’t allergic to the football, as many of our 2025 WR’s were. We’d like to make you an offer…”

I believe we may have offered him out of high school as well.

Based on what I'm see from offers so far this will be another rebuilding year and we will be hoping for 6-6.
Every year will be like this, no matter what kind of season we have. If we go 10-2, half the starters will be poached. Might as well get used to it
Give 'em hell!

This guy is an athlete. Some of the big SEC schools wanted him. Short but quick, snappy and not scared. These receivers work well for us when those things keep clicking. I think this is a really good fit and sounds like he does too. We need receivers that can actually hold onto a pass.

I’ve been thinking this for a while. There’s been an obvious slip and recruiting. Definitely could be the reason we have no depth.

First and foremost, I want to thank God for blessing me with the ability to handle high altitudes and cardiac-inducing fourth quarters.
To my family, thank you for your patience during the fall seasons, and for understanding why I am emotionally unavailable after a loss. To the concession staff at The Rock, thank you for keeping me fueled. To the tailgate crew, thank you for believing in my ability to grill under pressure.
I have spent a lot of time praying and talking with my inner circle about my future as a spectator. It has been a long journey with many ups and downs.
With that being said, I would like to announce that I will NOT be entering the Fan Transfer Portal.
I am withdrawing my name from consideration by other fanbases. I am 1000% committed to remaining a Mountaineer. I have 40+ years of eligibility remaining and I plan to spend them all in Boone.
Please respect my decision.

Did you use ChatGPT for this like most of the players do?

It's always a plus to keep the good grillers in the fold. We've always been a "grill-first" team. It's certainly a cornerstone of our culture on the mountain. Now, if we can find the right shoppers and the wind deflectors to optimize the game plan.
