elevate3333: Appalachian State Gaining Attention

Appalachian State is gaining recognition as one of the best G5 programs in the nation and have become a borderline top 25 team on the back of their statement win over long-time rival, Georgia Southern. The Mountaineers (6-1) handed their conference foes their first ever loss in the Sun Belt and took the driver’s seat in the conference championship chase with a dominating 31-13 victory in front of a raucous Kidd Brewer Stadium crowd.

As the writer says, you can only play those on your schedule and unfortunately the competition in the Sun Belt isn't all that great this year. The best statement we can make is to win the remaining games on our schedule by wider margins than expected. I don't think Scott's one to run up the score, so an impressive final margin is likely in the hands of Woody and our Defense. Keep the rest of those on our schedule from scoring more than 10 points in any game with one or two shut outs and people will really start talking about us. On the other hand, loose focus and drop one of the last 5 games and nobody will mention us in the national media. In other words, PLEASE, one game at a time people!

Also there are 4 G5 teams in the top 25, not 2. Temple, Houston, Memphis, and Toledo. How hard is it to look that up? Sloppy.

Pretty sure this piece was written by one of our own...so I think it safe to say, in this instance, that the writer knows we're at home and knew what he was saying but just simply wrote it backwards. #BeenThereDoneThat

Journalism isn't what it used to be. Nobody does research or double checks for errors anymore.

Relax. Bob (the writer) is a loyal alum and avid fan who does this out of love for the Mountaineers. He's not making money off this, to my knowledge, so give him a break.
