OK Chuck, I confess. Home day after day complete boredom (just had the second knee replaced) could blame it on the pain meds.... these guys on here don't know me so they don't know how to take me? You should have taught me about those little cute yellow faces back in the day... anyway thought I would try to stir the pot a little as I'm tired of "The Five".

Truth is I'm a SS supporter and wish him nothing but the best. His success just makes the games all the more fun. Hope you are doing well health wise and fully recovered. Merry Christmas.

I remain disappointed and upset with Cobb's blatant manipulation of the process. Unless I come to find that Scott was duplicit in the arrangement he will have my support. I only hope Scott is up to the task. It is never easy to follow a legend, especially from the same staff. Most experts say you want to be the guy who follows the guy who followed the legend. For Christmas my wish is the next hire to takes place is the one that carries Charlie Cobb out of Boone. Far, far out of Boone. Preferrably to Hawaii or somewhere else 1000 miles away.

I too have grown weary of Cobb's head coach hiring process. That is because he doesn't have a process, he picks who he wants (or weathly donors want) and pretends to have a search for a coach when in all reality it is just a sham and he already has his mind made up. I like SS, support him, and hope he has a great career and our football teams continues to succeed. But I am very unimpressed with Cobb's "national search" which thus far have produced Buzz, Capel and now SS. Hard to believe he actually wasted this much time in naming SS as our coach. The very fact that he signed multiple coaches to long term contracts and required any new coach to keep said coaches shows that this was always a done deal for SS. I just wish CC would be more honest abut his intentions with our athletic program. He should have just named SS coach the same day he informed us that JM would not return.

Thanks RekDiver for saving me. Nice of you to pull my head out of my arse. Now that I am breathing again. Let me say in a much shorter and more direct communication: THE DEAL WAS DONE... I actually like SS and wish him well. You just have to wonder about... oh never mind this wreck is to deep to dive.

personally I dont give a dam how we got our coach, the only thing I care about is we got a great, young coach who is going to, hopefully, do a wonderful job for us. Personally, I dont have a problem with how CC conducted his search, he posted it nationally, he conducted interviews per the guide lines set forth by the Unviversity, and he chose the best canidate, end of story.

If there are travel expenditures reported by anyone in administration for the so called "nationwide search" for a new coach, I would love to see them. That being said, best of luck to coach Satterfield. You are the right man for the job, and if not for lack of judgement/incompetence(I'm still deciding) this should have been a smooth transition into your deserved position. jmo and as always Go Mountaineers!

This was a done deal the day SS was hired to come back to Boone. I love and appreciate T. Bowmans coverage of ASU,and hope he gets credit for breaking the story, but Fridays pending news conference annoucement has been a "no brainer" to anybody associated with ASU imo. Why CC has chosen to go the route he has to get to a predetermined resolution that was in place, perplexes my dumb ass I guess! ok done venting on this topic. So has Capel got his walking papers yet?

Satterfield being named head coach process has been like reading a mystery novel by starting at the last page.
Cannot really imagine anyone else as coach. I have been oversold on SS for a long time. Now we need to really recruit some new good SS Troopers.

Scott was the best candidate given the restrictions and requirements Cobb put on the process. Are you honestly that naive to believe this was a national search?

Could you be any more ignorant and uninformed? Since you have decided to lower the discussion into a name calling contest it is time I depart this arena.

If you want Charlie gone, it should be for ruining the basketball program, not this. Satterfield hasn't even coached a game yet.
