There are monuments built in the Nevada desert based off the transitive property principle.

Not talking about some stupid transitive property. I dont think because App beat the holes, that means they will automatically beat SC. My point is SC can look at both a national ranking and a common opponent for their motivation and to not overlook App. Also, if SC wins next 2 they will be playing App to become bowl eligible. People on here who think SC will overlook App is wishful thinking.

I do think some will think expect us to be a guaranteed win. I know how players in the SEC are and they won't fully respect us. I'm sure some will though. There is no doubt the coaches will preach it but I have seen it happen with our kids and what Jerry Moore said went in one ear and out the other. We are not a big game in their minds and it won't be as easy to get up for us as it will for A&M.

Rankings mean nothing for our product on the field. It is just for marketing

We’ve got dual mandates.....win games and build the program. Being ranked, even if its for 1 week, helps build the program. It builds our brand and it provides exposure that we could not begin to pay for. Sure being ranked at the end of the year is paramount, but being ranked at all - at any point in the season - is AWESOME for the program. Arguing otherwise is silly.

We have done pretty good without it but I guess we will find out how much of an impact it has over this next year.
