Very good college receiver when healthy. Will have to stay healthy and improve quite a bit to make it in the League.

I noticed that too. Perhaps he is not fully healed. Regardless, I wish him all the best. Next man up. Lots of talent waiting in the wings.booneboy92 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 01, 2020 3:52 pmDid anybody else notice in Coach Clark’s post practice interview last week, when talking about the receivers, he mentioned Hennigan, Malik and Vergil by name, but not Sutton?... It struck me funny then, but this might explain why. I too wonder if he’s transferring instead of declaring...

I was about to ask the exact same thing. We were assuming he had to sit, but Clark’s comments at media day made it sound like they were waiting to hear back if he can play this year.

Based on the quotes here, maybe he returns to App in 2021?

Re: Corey Sutton - Opting Out
Nothing wrong with speculating but perhaps we'll just have to wait and see. Coach Clark seems to suggest that Corey committed to returning. If he's not fully recovered, why risk an injury and really derail any NFL aspirations.

Sutton already sat out a year after transferring. I’m sure he doesn’t want to play college football forever

Re: Corey Sutton - Opting Out
His knee isn’t ready and a second redshirt year opportunity is a golden egg to fall from the rotten goose’s ass of the Covid-19 era.
It’s disappointing that he can’t play this year, but there isn’t a secondary on our schedule that can cover our other wide outs, even without Sutton.

If healthy, should play. In my opinion, will not be drafted or a very late round draft pick in the next draft. He needed to show more to scouts in my opinion.
If not healthy, completely understand the decision.

I’m pretty sure I read Pinckney was granted eligibility to play this year. I can’t find where I read that so take it how you wish.appstate24 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 01, 2020 5:05 pmI was about to ask the exact same thing. Re: Corey Sutton - Opting Out
Correct me if I'm wrong.....but isn't 2021 recruit, Coen Sutton, Cory's brother?
If so would this factor in the decision?

Re: Corey Sutton - Opting Out
As of a few weeks ago they were waiting to hear back from the NCAA on a waiver to potentially be immediately eligible. Haven’t heard anything since thenAppaholic01 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 01, 2020 8:26 pmPinckney has to sit out this season.
