Although I love some App. St. football, I do not see a G5 team getting into the playoffs with two losses unless their entire no conference schedule is 4 P5 teams and that G5 team wins all of them or 3 out of 4 of them...and two of the opponents will need to finish is upper part of their conference. IMHO.

its happened before. remember its the top 6 champions no matter what. If every G5 champion has 2 losses, they have to take 1. If Liberty had lost 1 game this year it would have been a 11-2 SMU team that rep'd the G5 this year.

This may have played out in this manner. Is SBC champion going to be a top 6 champion? or is a top 6 champion based upon rankings? It has been demonstrated in the past that a 2 loss SBC champion has been barely ranked or not ranked at all. Maybe the perception of the SBC is changing given conference realignment...but, in the past, it seems AAC and Mountain West seems to get the nod over sbc when comparable records.

That Liberty game next year is going to have HUGE G5 ramifications.
They just signed a stud qb, Jayden Bradford. I hope he gets the start as a true Freshman and we roll them in Boone.

That is possible, but it would mean a win over Clemson, this year’s NY6 participant, Liberty, and an undefeated run through a strong G5 league.
