We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Meh..I’m just glad they aren’t stupid looking.
My thoughts on it too. If the players love it and feel ready to take on anyone in it, it’s done at least half its job.

Where are sleeves normally if not the shoulder?
You meant to write stripes, right?

I know nothing about how jersey contracts work BUT I assume we are presented with a couple generic designs that have been customized with our colors to pick from and we choose the one we want...hence why many teams have the same design scheme.
I also imagine that if you don't like what's presented Nike will design a custom look but that will cost you more.
This isn't a new thing, if you remember our uniforms from the championship era we had that gold line that ran across the chest and shoulders...Miami also had the same uniform at the time.

This pretty much sums up the process.

The sleeves are fine. I’ve seen much worse so I’m not mad. I do really hate the multi-colored AppState though. Get rid of that shit. It’s horrendous. Whoever’s idea that was should be fired. Yes, I know it’s apart of our branding in a lot of areas but it’s terrible.

If Nike had come up with something off-the-wall and different, we would all be losing our minds about how they're ignoring App's traditions and whatnot.
The "new" jerseys are simple, clean, and similar to what we've had in the past ("the brand" if you will).
I DO wish it said Mountaineers or App State/Appalachian State on the chest plate, but that's about it.

We replaced the Block A bumpers on the helmet with the APPSTATE bumper (I think we did that last year btw). Just another odd decision to get away/remove the block A from the uniform.

you are referring to the bumper on the front of the helmet? I get the feeling that is going to be the 2nd logo after the block A - other uniforms are using that -

Correct. Used to be a Block A, now it's the AppState logo. Would have been nice to see old school Yosef there. Those bumpers are probably easy changes though if we wanted to incorporate Yosef or the A again.

I was told it was thought the Block A and the script Mountaineers in it was too hard to see on the bumper, thus the switch to App State last season.
IMO, the "App State" branding has been a bit lazy. I think there needs to be a hard pivot to brand Appalachian State and making sure the world knows how to pronounce it.

Sorry it may just be me, but I do prefer App State. Not worth the effort to try to get people to pronounce it properly. I'd prefer to hear App State rather than cringe when folks mispronounce the school's name when so many folks have used the other pronunciation for their entire lives.

I want the same jersey every year. I am not a fashion geek. I want the one that crosses the goal line for us and stops the other guys from crossing the line.

Actually, I think Appalachian's branding is really good. You just do not have graphic design departments on your campus and not use them. They know what a good logo and colour scheme look like. The only time I know of that they went outside of the school to consult a design firm was for the 1999 Yosef/ Fisherman logo it was bad or rather not what it should have been and their redesign of Yosef was horrendous. Even the header for this message board is done in similar fashion.
