Re: Satterfield
While we're on the Twitter versus Not Twitter rapidly dying horse, it should be noted that it takes a few seconds to compose a tweet. Tweets cannot be lengthy in nature and do not lend themselves to the diatribes we see here.
Twitter, Facebook, etc are all about how one connects with folks of a certain age. I teach middle school Sunday school; therefore, I use Facebook to keep up with the kids ... not to play the game du jour. There's a huge difference between "playing" and "connecting". I see what Satterfield and the other coaches do as connecting. Of course, it also allows them to keep tabs on their players.

How can anyone say SS spends too much time on social media? What are the parameters? The secret to Saban's success is that he doesn't tweet, lmao. This stuff is too funny. Some of you guys need to put down the mobile device.

Re: Satterfield
Coach Satt is our leader now and of the future unless things get crazy out of control. We all know that many great college coaches had rocky starts (Dean, Coach K, etc...). The best thing about Satt is that he's an APP guy, who is dedicated to making our football program successful. He is a coach that, if successful, will be more likely to stick around, rather jumping for the first opportunity that comes his way. He wants to win as bad as any of us, and has the work ethic to get it done. He's got good young talent, but he didn't inherit the 2007 team. Let's be patient and enjoy watching his growth as a head coach this transitional season. All in. GO APP.

Re: Satterfield
As the OP, let me clarify that I love twitter and love Satterfield being on twitter (great way to connect to fans, recruits, etc.)
But if you are going to tweet all summer about always attacking, attack era...at least let your playcalling reflect it. The Jackson/Satterfield combo hasn't attacked much during the last year. Throw the damn ball down field.

Re: Satterfield
Saturday is one thing but over the last year? Jamal had the second highest passing yardage of any season in Appalachian history in 2012, just 13 yards shy of Armanti's record in 2009 and in two less games. If he hadn't gone down at Western, it would have been the most prolific passing season in the history of ASU football.IGgreer wrote:But if you are going to tweet all summer about always attacking, attack era...at least let your playcalling reflect it. In 2012, Jamal had 2 of the 10 highest single-game passing totals in App history as well, which came against GSU and ISU, both quality teams. Averaging 464 yards of offense per game, I'd say they attacked pretty well. It says a lot about your offense if you go 8-4 with a defense that allows 30 PPG.

Well, then, please use your razor-sharp, Mensa-quality intellect to enlighten us. Or not...GoApps70 wrote:Sad, really sad when you cannot even figure out whatAppsolutely wrote:"Excuses are for losers."

I thought Jamal Jacksons performance (GUTTY) and the play calling at GSU was among the top 10 combined performances of all time at ASU.asumike83 wrote:In 2012, Jamal had 2 of the 10 highest single-game passing totals in App history as well, which came against GSU and ISU, both quality teams. I gave us little chance to win and went to GSU for my first trip....was humble the whole time....and got a chance to see live something I did not expect.
JLJ willed us to that win, and the play calling put all that in place! JLJ was hurt all day...played like a man possessed!
Go APPS!
