StAte is averaging over 45 points a game in Belt games, they lead the conference in sacks and interceptions, faced a tough OOC schedule, and like Troy have their QB back after missing some games. I believe they derail Apps conference title dreams. The Apps are playing with a depleted OL that may not be able to provide Taylor the protection he needs. For the Apps to win the defense will need a better performance than last week.

A little unsure of this game after last week. Injuries, new faces on the line, and a short week of practice will show what we are made of. I still believe and think we will win another close one at the ROCK!

If I felt like we would lose (especially a conference game) I would just not make a prediction- and neither should any of us! I can't see why we wouldn't be able to move the ball. We are going to have to mix it up on defense, not play soft and try to turn them over or at least put them in third and long situations lots of times. I hope we open up the playbook some more with some quick hitters, screens,etc. Taylor can't have 10 plays where he is scrambling and throwing sideline passes on the run. I can see a shootout with us having to defend (I said defend) another onside kick or two.

Both teams have high powered offenses and shutdown defenses, whoever wins the turnover battle and no penalties in the red zone! Shutdown the run game like we did against GSU and we win.

This one scares me more than the GaSo game. I fear they have an offense that can prey on the weakest part of our strong defense. App's secondary is going to have to show big improvement over the Troy game. Couple that with the injuries on the o-line and this will be a tough out for the Apps. I think this team has the guts and conditioning to do it.
