So theft since athletics would not dedicate any guarantied time that anyone besides athletics(FOOTBALL) to use it. The bookstore, Grandview catering and events, and the tenant all have the main uses of their spaces.

An indoor track is ideally 200 meters flat. This would be inside of the regulation football field that the space would be expanded to. There is no way that the FBall team will allow a facility that has anything over the playing surface so that they cannot have full movement and passing drills.
Current and new IPF is/will be available to all athletic programs. Multiple times we would have to wait to go in because other programs were using it.

But no on the increase in student fees to fund it. We aren't JMU. We don't need students to fund 70% of our budget.
How much do they fund now?
Last I saw, student fees were right around 40%. I don't know if it's true any more, but when we first moved up, we got the least in the conference from state/institution funding -- by a significant amount.
And that's the point. I hope the per seat donation thing helps. Fans, adults, need to step up. We can't (or shouldn't) ask college students to pay for more. And we shouldn't have a list of improvements we want to see and hope some sugar daddy will pay for them. Fans need to do more than appreciate what we have. We need to reach into our own pockets a bit. It is, after all TIGMA. As unpopular as that sentiment may be.
It would seem that the only ways for fans to step up would be to increase seating prices or get more donations.. We need donations for athletic scholarships (Yosef) more than we need facility improvements. It would be nice to have both rather than either or. Without being a heavy donor to buy good season tickets for two is out of my personal budget. Presently I only get to attend one or two games per year now and can't get stuck with extra tickets to try to sell cheaply or give away each year. Regardless, we can always listen to WKBC our anchor station if willing to listen to beer commercials during every break of any kind. The route of watching the games on TV involves playing the switching routine of streaming one game or two, ESPN 2, ESPNU. Some of you guys can afford to carry all of the above and fill watching NF, other conferences, etc.

BEER! That gives me an idea. Just raise the price of beer in the stadium....well that's not going to happen. ;)

As to Yosef, I still owe $1600 from years ago,,

East side Tower if anyone is interested... I inquired this morning

You are completely correct regarding the East Tower Club Seating section! At the moment, the construction is planned to finish for this area prior to the 2025 football season. The good news is, if you were interested in learning more about this new area, I'd be more than happy to discuss at your convenience. I'll provide a quick breakdown for you in terms of the area below.

We are expecting to have between 650-700 club tickets available. Within this club will be both individual seating (similar to the West Club seats I sent you) and Loge Boxes (similar to what are available in the North End Zone at the moment) and Suites. With any premium club area, there is a capital commitment that is involved with moving into this area. Depending upon your interest in individual club seats versus a Loge Box, it would change the price amount. Below is the cost breakdown for different options.

Loge Boxes
Annual Ticket Cost (4-6 seats) - $10,000
Capital Gift - $50,000 (this amount is fully tax deductible and is payable over a 5 year period)

Club Seats
Annual Ticket Cost (1-4 seats) - $1,200
Capital Gift - $25,000 (this amount is fully tax deductible and is payable over a 5 year period)

The capital gift attachment "locks" someone into the area meaning that you would be fully guaranteed a spot in this space once it opens. Otherwise, it will be open to our entire Yosef Club membership based solely upon priority point ranking (combination of years given and total amount given). We do have suites available as well - if that is of interest to you please let me know and I can send along information regarding that as well.

I was a bit frustrated on Friday morning, but committed to club seats on Saturday. Just have to sign my name and start sending the checks in. Looking forward to seeing this built, I’ve sat in the club seats on the west side and they’re great. Expecting the same (or better!) for this new building.

For this specific enhancement, we aren't hoping a sugar daddy pays for it. We have the funds secured. There's no hope. I'm not sure what you're not understanding about that.
Any update from the Trustees about the verasity of this statement?

No, because there are other projects (finishing App 105, new/expanded practice facility) ahead of it right now.

Saw what happens to a recession/covid budget in the NEZ. Can’t have that happen again. Plenty of time to build for the future, wait until we have the funds and a surplus of contingency. Let’s fix what we have before spending $100-$200M.

Explain please? What happened to the NEZ?

The plan is still opening in 2025 season.

I think what 311 is referring to is the NEZ going over budget by $5 million and App having to get UNC System approval for it, and/or the project taking longer to complete than anticipated.

It gets old blaming COVID, but really, that's what to blame. And the NEZ cost issues were not an outlier. Just on Friday, the BOT approved asking the UNC System to raise the App 105 project ceiling from $11.8 million to $15.8 million. The first phase of the new Innovation District (where Broyhill use to be near the baseball stadium) is up to $64 million from $54 million. It's all for the same reason - supply chain issues and costs of materials skyrocketing.

Stop with this sense making stuff. It doesn't belong here. All that is just excuses and we have to figure out how to think outside of the box and teach contractors how to get their materials at a lower cost.

Or, let's just get the construction management majors (who are actually involved) to do it all! No reason to pay extra for people that do it for a living and know the codes when we have students that know how to read books about it and can get it done for way cheaper!

Correct. This is how it works. Duncan renovation started at 20 million, and is now at 30 million. Earlier "renderings" of Wey Hall will no longer fly, as several "wants" have been cut out due to budget issues. Never take a rendering (drawing) as gospel out here.

I think it means they have a debt servicing agreement and a mix of committed funds. When we had a major donation earmarked for projects on this nature they are typically announced and made very public.
