If it was cold, you probably didn't see much anyway....App Band wrote:Lucky you! It was NOT a pleasant sight! EWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!! (...and I only saw the recorded version!)

Actually it was a warm fall afternoon. As a matter of fact my friends and I went camping on Tater Hill after the game, celebrated an App victory. In addition to the App victory, I remember that fool running along with the band. lol

In the early to mid-70's the art of streaking as a means of self-expressionism had reached its height in Boone, with many artistic performances that received mixed reviews. Unfortunatly, it's been too long for me to recall exact details of the game but IIRC it was a cold evening game when one of these performance artists chose to display his skills by running through the band. App Band, I know you were there as well.

Hmmmmm...so THAT was "artistic expression"?!?!?! Trust me...there was NOTHING "artistic" about that guy! ..snicker...snicker!

Hey, Cymbal Player T! Now I know who you are! But...I don't remember your cymbal straps breaking at the ECU game so your "infamous reputation" is spotless with me. I do recall the girl who played cymbals with us when we marched in the Governor's Inaugural Parade---one of the straps came loose just as we marched past the tv cameras and the cymbal CRASHED down onto the pavement. Really bad timing!
Great to see you! It's fun to reminisce with an old friend!

If we were to catagorize the performance, it would fall into the short story genre, somewhere between a satire and tragicomedy.WataugaMan wrote:No pun intended of course.Watauga72 wrote:Unfortunatly, it's been too long.....
