I agree, Coastal's more important now. Beating Carolina is a nice feather in the hat but it's not the primary goal this year. Now we get back to business and take on a threatening in-conference foe while UNC gets to take on a "real" opponent this weekend worthy of their time. .

All in all, I don't think it's about being cocky or arrogant with us...I think we just want what we're due...to be recognized as the good football program that we are. That when one of these ACC or SEC teams have us on deck, it's a point of concern. We're beyond "giant killers" or "you gotta watch App, they'll sneak up on you." Despite all of our success, titles and accolades, we're still that "pretty good team from the mountains" who beat Michigan 12 years ago. That was great and all but even then, the Michigan win overshadowed an already established FCS power house.

UNC just found out what Old Dominion, Charlotte, MTSU, Toledo, Wyoming, Ohio, ECU, Tennessee, Wake Forest and Penn State already knew...that when you have App State on your schedule, that's going to be one hell of an out of conference match that's going to be a fight right up to the very end.

Talking about the UNC game on the MMB in no way directly impacts the performance or preparation of the team for CCU. If us FANS want to talk about that game, or any other game, then we should be allowed to do so without you nannying over us. If you don’t like UNC threads, then mark them read and move on.

Typical Carolina fan argument. When you lose resort to talking about previous titles, most of which they weren't even alive to see. If that doesn't work, then they talk about how Michael Jordan went to Carolina...you know because his decision to attend UNC had everything to do with his greatness in the NBA.

I kind of understand what they are saying if you analyze it in full. Basically, what they are saying but in a roundabout way, is that they suck and that is the reason that they lost. And I have a hard time disagreeing with part of that logic.

That's great. We have a couple we are friends with who are UNC grads and who pull hard for their team. They were very excited for us when we beat Michigan and follow our football team closely. The guy told me Chapel Hill should have recruited Hennigan; he was right. Though they have season tickets they did not attend the game on Saturday. As others who really follow college football, they knew the Heels would most likely loose. In fact, they were worried about a blowout.
