One thing I do not understand is why Appalachian is not putting more emphasis on online courses.
I do not want Liberty in the Sun Belt, but they have made over a billion dollars recently with online courses. That kind of money could go a long ways in Boone.

P.S. -

I put my reasons for not wanting Liberty in the SB under Other Schools Athletics @ Liberty Next Sun Belt Member. There is also another article posted as reference there.

Online courses are currently becoming a joke in the professional world (well I shouldn't be that broad).... in the Criminal Justice world we scrutinize the heck out of folks who apply and have online degrees. Most we don't honor. If the online course you took is all online with no test where you actually have to go somewhere and sit and take the test (or some time of final) then most are worthless. I have seen many people take online courses only to have others do the class work for them. I know that college students who are in real colleges still have people that will write papers for them but they still have to go and take the test. I wish App had more online courses that I could take (cause I want my masters). I'd be willing to drive to Boone or Hickory to take the tests to make it official.
