A loss like Troy had can linger and Marshall will come in pissed off.

I also think our physical play impacts teams the next week.

Marshall wins by 10+ and our fans will wonder why they made it look easier.
This and I think teams play up for us. We get the circle on the schedule, the build up and hype. Saw highlights from one of the other Belt games with no fans in the stadium. You know it's got to be a surreal experience for the kids from schools where nobody comes to watch them play. Following week has to be a let down.

It’s been that way for 15 years, going back to the SoCon. 3k at Wofford, 30k at The Rock…

I agree. The portal makes keeping a redshirt player less certain. Play the best players when needed.
I never understood the whole redshirting of healthy players, period. If they’re better than what’s on the field, let them play. You have three years to recruit for that one year burned.

I have not had a chance to read much of this thread (and likely will not have time for a few days) so this may or may not be a repeat post. My apologies if this is a repeat.

Has it been mentioned how #2 had the composure to lay some blocks after the catch and if not then there is no TD more than likely. That was textbook for keeping one's head in the game and finishing the play.
Yes, coach said that the blocking by Robinson was the most impressive part of that play, and that he executed it exactly like he’s been taught in practice, same with the Stroman tip and Horn placement, catch, and score. One of his favorite quotes this year is “practice execution equals gameday success” or something like that.

We have some fans that are not intelligent. The cheerleaders on multiple occasions in the 2nd half were trying to get App...State chants started when we had the ball in between plays. 0 sense what so ever on that front. Should be easy correction. Amount of bleacher "coaches" is hilarious but dumb as well. Might be getting wireless headphones to listen to broadcast to tune them out. One person near me thought the ball should be ran EVERY play.
You must sit in 205. Lots of “coaches” around me. Heard a guy from 204 yell at our kick retuner for fair catching that high KICKOFF, “why are you calling fair catch on the 5?” Brilliant grasp of the rules.
Usually located in Section 206, which only has a handful of idiots around me as thankfully majority is coaches tickets and families. This past game was in NEZ.... ha. But definitely some everywhere!

I had someone behind me yelling for the team to "go for it!" on every 3rd and short!

I could fill the page with positives since we won. We had no business losing to Troy first place and no business winning at the end - what were the odds?, but that's why we have been undoubtedly the most exciting ticket over the years - Mountain Magic.

My concerns are just reiterations and blatantly obvious.

1) We have to have the worst KO coverage over the years no matter the coaching staff as we are magical in winning games over those years. It's been almost obligatory to give up KO TDs what seems more than our fair share in 40 years. Touchbacks I'd rather take my chances with on the 25 every time than the awesome stop or hit, than giving away the likely an extra 15-20+ yards of starting field position.

2) As in our losses to UL and WKU last year, UNC this year and maybe should have been Troy, we struggle with a QB that can pass, not sure if its our defensive personnel or scheme of both, but that is this teams Achilles.

Great Win and incalculable advertising this last week. Couldn't have happened to a better program than APP. I'd love for us to maximize it.

As mentioned on ESPN -we will likely have our staff picked with all this attention from our HC and OC. WVU has enough money to buy our HC if things continue to slide with Neal, who has had enough time to produce. If Barbay is here next season, I'll be surprised. Clark loves it here, but everybody has a price
We will be very lucky if we get a second season of Kevin Barbay.
I hate to agree but I do. He will get a P5 offer as we’ve already seen some in season firings and I’m sure multiple more to come whether it’s in or after the season…

I feel like the biggest threat to losing Barbay is Texas A&M. If Jimbo feels the need to change things up with his OC, his first call is to Barbay and Barbay likely goes. Texas roots, wife is an Aggie. It would be hard to say no.

The last kick definitely looked like a planned short kick.
I almost lost my mind on that one, I hope there were no kids or otherwise sensitive ears around me.
