Re: Another day, another suspension...
I hope we can someday get off the last staff VS this staff thing. The last staff did a lot of good things for an awful lot of players. They also made some mistakes. I am confident that this staff and future staffs will do good things and also make some mistakes. I am very sure that no staff has ever wanted bad apples. Let's be happy that it is being taken care of because there WILL be problems again in the future.

24 years being a Probation/Parole Officer, also working with the domestic violence task force along with the violent crime and gang task force. I supervise these DV cases. I should have said as much when I posted it. Sorry I didn't make that clear on my post.StorminASU wrote:In your 24 years of what? Practicing law or being alive? Points well taken, but I still disagree to some extent. I just know that when colleges recruited at the high schools I was associated with, the coaches seldom went into character issues.bcoach wrote:High school coaches know a lot more than you seem to think. When you have a tight relationship with them you can get tipoffs. You can look at social media and get tips and you can spot things in an interview. Talk to people. You will also notice that I said many times you can't. If you will notice over the years the percentage of bad apples we have had is very low. I am sure all coaches want it to be even lower.JCline0429 wrote:How would you spot this type inclination while recruiting? Cant say much about what happened, just really glad that I decided not to purchase Gray's always attack jersey from the football office,I had considered it since he had shown a great deal of promise on the field. Hope he can learn from this and not let it happen again in the future.

The incidents of sexual assaults last year by the three football players received mention in national outlets. I didn't mean to imply that it would make the NY Times or the like.StorminASU wrote:Yeah, I'll bet against it.JCline0429 wrote:Anybody want to bet against this incident getting national media attention?

I guess that was the problem with the coaches that recruited at your school. Either they didn't have the relationship or didn't care. See I was talking about what you CAN do not what they all do. My knowledge of this is first hand.JCline0429 wrote:Points well taken, but I still disagree to some extent. That's my fault, I was just assuming it was a 24 year old budding legal person wanting to stir the pot a little. I should have checked the Yosef's Cabin roster rundown on you, haha.AppState89 wrote:24 years being a Probation/Parole Officer, also working with the domestic violence task force along with the violent crime and gang task force. Because there is NO WAY a 24-year-old would know anything about the legal system. Impossible.StorminASU wrote:That's my fault, I was just assuming it was a 24 year old budding legal person wanting to stir the pot a little. I agree, but women shouldn't hit men either, unless it is in self defense. And that goes both ways.Rekdiver wrote: I don t care if he hit the girl with an open hand.....you don't hit women. For me this is at least a 1 year suspension from football anywhere and any school..

No problem. I should have made myself clear first. I just assume that most on here know what I do. Guess I shouldn't assume.StorminASU wrote:That's my fault, I was just assuming it was a 24 year old budding legal person wanting to stir the pot a little.
