We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Golden opportunity for Satt and the new Chancellor to comment in sync. She needs to be Involved visably. And while I'm on the topic of the Chancellor as much as I like her I would wish for some plain spoken non cliche real people talk in future releases. It sounds like a press secretary writes that mess. The message is good I'm just tired of the noise.

Re: RS Fr Lee Wright Dismissed
You won't see either Satterfield or the Chancellor commenting on the details of this case. They will make generic statements like the "violation of team rules' and leave it at that. Folks today seem to crave public trials and punishment, but that's simply not how universities function, nor should they. Arrest and court records are public, but the disciplinary functions of a university athletic program are not run that way.

Scott followed the approved and printed athletic department policy. Are we to understand that you'd expect Scott to go off the reservation and create his own unique discipline and punishments?bcoach wrote:I am just very happy with the decision Scott has made on Lee Wright and terribly disappointed in the AG decision. It may be classified as a misdemeanor but sets a very bad example. This kind of an attitude results in beating a woman unconscious getting you a two game suspension and smoking pot gets you six games in the NFL. Now I see a similar although not as sever example on the team I love. I am not condemning Scott, I think he is a good man. I do think he has made a bad decision in this area.
If he did that, he'd be the next guy suspended from the team. I can't believe what I'm reading here.

Grey is only partially reinstated pending how the trial goes.
Why would the coaches partially bring a guy back if they didn't have evidence to do so.
12 more days and this will all play out, be patient.

I sincerely want to thank him for any contributions he did right while in Black and Gold. I truly wish his future holds a happy landing place of greener grass.Black Saturday wrote:His career at APP just went UP IN SMokeGreatAppSt wrote:This wasn't just a Toke n punishment, or was it?

Re: RS Fr Lee Wright Dismissed
He was partially reinstated this summer, but was kicked off the team after the arrest. That would lead me to believe something has changed with his situation. So Gray was treated the same as Wright following the arrest.bcoach wrote:Maybe I have been misled. I was led to believe that he is back practicing with the team.JTApps1 wrote:How is it any different at this point? Gray was kicked off the team immediately following his arrest as well. So Satt has been consistent in the regard.bcoach wrote:I find it interesting that it is different for assault on a woman. In the AG case I was seeing he deserves his day in court, you know innocent until proven guilty. Not seeing that here.

Does every pot thread have to wind up like this? I talked with someone who read the police report. He made a series of bad decisions and was asking for what he got.
If he cooperates and is squeaky clean throughout the process and gets the charges lessened, he might be given a chance after the season.

Better yet how many just don't pay attention.... I hope Satt lights the players up and preaches hell fire and damnation....... As I told my son...you think you won't get caught but you will...just think what you will lose every time you think about making a bad decision........

Also, you shouldn't look at their social media afterward and say "that figures", but it still happens.

Lee on social media has said the right things after the incident. He is blaming no one but himself.
He is a bright kid that has made some mistakes. He will likely get a second chance somewhere if he makes good decisions going forward. Good luck young man.

Re: RS Fr Lee Wright Dismissed
First, let me say that Lee is not a loser but a young man who made some very bad decisions. I've known him for over 4 years at York and he is intelligent, articulate, honor roll student, and a beast of an athlete and football player. Secondly, I hate as much as anyone that he made those decisions but there is no one player greater than the team per athletic and football program rules. Scott did what had to be done and I can only hope Lee lands on his feet and learns from all this.ASU-FTW wrote:Got to get these losers off the team
I say again though, he is not a loser.

Kids make mistakes - It doesn't make them all losers --- If every college kid was classified as a "Loser" for making mistakes there would be a truckload of losers on every campus - I'm assuming from what I have read that no one was hurt or injured because of his mistake ---ASU-FTW wrote:Got to get these losers off the team

Plenty of people were hurt by his mistake and he'd admit that as well. He hurt his team, and himself.WVAPPeer wrote:Kids make mistakes - It doesn't make them all losers --- If every college kid was classified as a "Loser" for making mistakes there would be a truckload of losers on every campus - I'm assuming from what I have read that no one was hurt or injured because of his mistake ---ASU-FTW wrote:Got to get these losers off the team
He isn't a loser for making a mistake, but he will be a loser if he doesn't learn from it and make changes.

Re: RS Fr Lee Wright Dismissed
I agree Saint - I was referring to direct hurt or pain to another person - like injuring someone with his car, beating up a woman, barroom fight, etc. --- He absolutely hurt himself but damage to teammates is relative, all college teams must now be prepared to lose players, many through injuries but more and more now through suspensions or dismissals - It now gives other players a chance to make an impact ---Saint3333 wrote:Plenty of people were hurt by his mistake and he'd admit that as well. I understand what all are saying but it was not a mistake. It was done intentionally. It was a very bad decision but not a mistake.WVAPPeer wrote:I agree Saint - I was referring to direct hurt or pain to another person - like injuring someone with his car, beating up a woman, barroom fight, etc.
