Yep. That doesn't usually work out too well. Kid tries hard for sure, but not an elite athlete. Definitely some gaps to fill.

We lost 6 of our top 7 tacklers from last season, 3 on NFL teams, and have an really inexperienced defensive backfield and D Ends. Our linebackers are our strength and 1 is out all season and Cobb is hobbled and can barely play. We don't have the guys on defense, it is just a fact.

nah, 2004 was a different world. The heart that Richie, Atwater and some of those guys had would have broken our current team. You could also see the beginnings of a great team with Dexter, Lynch, Krich, and others getting their feet under them and gearing up for our breakout 2005 season. That team was on its way up. Our current team is flushing it all away.
