McCall is out 3 to 6 weeks due to foot injury suffered in the App. St. game. I hope he has a successful recovery. May be tough for them while he is out.

And yet Chadwell put him back out on the field to play against us. Not the first time either.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Wed Nov 09, 2022 12:44 pmMcCall is out 3 to 6 weeks due to foot injury suffered in the App. St. game. I hope he has a successful recovery. May be tough for them while he is out.

Coach to trainer: how bad is it?
Trainer: can't really tell right now. Could be significant. Need to do more tests.
Coach: my career rides on this game. He's going back in
Grayson: I don't know coach. It hurts a lot
Coach: get over yourself and continue to harm your body for me!

Re: Gameday!!!
They really should not have played McCall after the ankle injury. I think Carpenter would have gotten the job done as our 3rd down defense was leaking like a sieve.AppStateNews wrote: ↑Wed Nov 09, 2022 1:03 pmI imagine this is how the conversation with that scumbag went...appst89 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 09, 2022 12:46 pmAnd yet Chadwell put him back out on the field to play against us. Re: Gameday!!!
To be fair, Armanti injured his shoulder in the third quarter versus Michigan and finished the game, then missed a few weeks after the adrenaline wore off.
It's possible he injured it more by going back in the game. We won't know. Also, Chadwell has played roulette with McCall's health in the past. All those things can be true.

Last time McCall was concussed and even vomited in the field. Chodewell put him back in. He’s a good x and o coach but doesn’t seem to be a good person

Many App fans have said CCU will be nothing without McCall, we’ll get to see next three games.

Re: Gameday!!!
I don't think so. We could have forced Carpenter into some mistakes and he doesn't throw the passes that McCall throws. McCall is a tough young man. However, I fear he's had too many injuries that may hurt his chances at the next level. I will give credit to Chadwell for game planning around his injury via shortening the game/limiting our second half possessions.Appstate88 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 09, 2022 1:23 pmThey really should not have played McCall after the ankle injury. I wonder if Carpenter will even be starter. He could have just been a run specialist.

Carpenter looked pretty good to me. I'm sure he can throw the ball. He definitely doesn't slide

Re: Gameday!!!
Some of y’all are going way to far and also throwing some stone while living in a glass house. McCall is a gamer, I have very little doubt that he wanted to be on the field. Every team in the NCAA plays kids who are injured. Cobb has had an ongoing shoulder injury for weeks. Started the game and re-injured the same shoulder. Do you really think he was fully healed? I for one see McCall as one hell of a ball player. Would have loved to have seen what he could have done in the black and gold. Not a swipe at Chase who has been great for us.

Re: Gameday!!!
If Chadwell didn't have a history of playing hurt players, I'd agree with you. Hell, the same player last year fell twice and puked everywhere. Clear as could be a concussion. Chadwell played him against team trainers and doctors wants (hence a new team doctor this year).Mjohn1988 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 10, 2022 12:26 pmSome of y’all are going way to far and also throwing some stone while living in a glass house. Let's also not forget Chadwell playing players not even enrolled in the school while at Charleston Southern. Dude does whatever it takes to win. Doesn't matter if rules or players safety get in the way. He simply only cares about himself.

Re: Gameday!!!
I no nothing about CCU or Chadwell except what I see from watching them play. That said there is one thing that makes me pretty sure McCall doesn’t feel mistreated at all in Coastal, the transfer portal. After the 2020 season McCall could have picked any G5 team he wanted to play for and probably would have had a few P5 offers. He’s still at CCU.AppStateNews wrote: ↑Thu Nov 10, 2022 2:33 pmIf Chadwell didn't have a history of playing hurt players, I'd agree with you. Re: Gameday!!!
The puking after a concussion and sending him back in sealed the deal for me. To claim we’re being harsh is ignoring the history of this character.

Re: Gameday!!!
If I remember correctly CCU has clinched the East already??? IMHO Chadwell's pulling the same type of stuff like Covidgate (Golden Goose) McCall rests (kept safe) until the champ game. The injury is just the pretext once McCall doesn't suit up for the champ game I'll believe it is as bad as advertised.

Re: Gameday!!!
No they have not wrapped it up. They control their own destiny, but Georgia State only has two conference losses. So, if they drop their two remaining conference games (possible without McCall) and Ga St wins out, the Panthers are East champs.GreatAppSt wrote: ↑Thu Nov 10, 2022 8:53 pmIf I remember correctly CCU has clinched the East already??? Re: Gameday!!!
right just rechecked, GSU does have a sliver of a chance if they win next three. Coastal owns tie breaker if it comes to it. Gonna be interesting.AppStateNews wrote: ↑Thu Nov 10, 2022 8:57 pmNo they have not wrapped it up. They control their own destiny, but Georgia State only has two conference losses. He is a kid. Of course he doesn't feel mistreated they are letting him play. It is up to the adults to protect him. The only person in the program worse than Chadwell is the person who hired him and keeps him.Mjohn1988 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 10, 2022 8:24 pmI no nothing about CCU or Chadwell except what I see from watching them play. Pretty sure he has parents. Look I’m in no position to support or criticize Chadwell but players aren’t running for the door so it must not be too bad.bcoach wrote: ↑Fri Nov 11, 2022 9:53 amHe is a kid.
