Stadium enhancements
Re: Stadium enhancements
Playing piped in music over the bands entrance has to be stopped! This happened every home game last year. A lot of fans get in the stadium early just for the entrance of the band.

Re: Stadium enhancements
Yes!! Have posted on that several times in the past. I love not only hearing the band enter the stadium but hearing the drum cadence from a distance as they approach the stadium. It kind of builds the anticipation of the moment; but the absolute worst is having the piped music play at the same time as the band is walking around the field. It's just auditory chaos and kills the moment.asu70 wrote:Playing piped in music over the bands entrance has to be stopped! This happened every home game last year. I believe work on both boards is scheduled for August and finished in time for the Savannah State game.bh2oson wrote:Do we know when the scoreboard work will begin? It supposed to be ready for the home opener , correct?

Re: Stadium enhancements
Stadium music isn't going anywhere. The problem is the coordination and timing of the music. I'm not sure who we have in charge of game day music programming, but the person or persons currently in place are amateurish in their selection, intros/outros, anticipation of stoppages in game play, etc.
We need to hire a professional, like many programs across the country have done. If done properly keeps energy level high in the student sections and partners with the band to create a coordinated game day experience

What's your playlist looking like? You can e-mail Doug G and offer your services as an option. No guarantee he will say yes, but I assure you he will at least consider your suggestion and guarantee a reply.Kiss My Apps wrote:Stadium music isn't going anywhere. Re: Stadium enhancements
Unless it sounds like computers mating/dying then drops a beat followed by some bird sounding female vocal singing the same thing over and over it will be better than the current piped in music. Another thing that chaps my crotch is the fact we live in the land of Doc Watson, yet whomever is trying to ruin my game day experience thinks Alabama is country music. Sorry, I can't continue this rant because my wife administered my ambien and I am now ab....................................... it's the kid's fault................... I'm thinking first and foremost whatever Drake songs are most popular during fall 2017. You can't go wrong with Drizzy. Then perhaps we can throw on some Migos. Crime Mob Knuck If You Buck every time there's an unsportsmanlike penalty on the away team for sure. Opposing player ejected? Hoe Sit Down. Of course Play me some Mountain Music is a family-friendly time out song.
Modern music is controversial, especially to the older Southern white men who come to this website to complain about it, but it's an absolute must have for college football games in 2017. Timing is key. Many gripes have rightly come after poorly timed songs were cued these two previous seasons. Above all these need to be BANGERS. No more Miley. Players and the student section need to be JACKED.

Rabble rabble rabble....grumble grumble grumble...my gameday experience...the music isn't for you. It's for the students to keep them into it. I don't mind the piped in music, i just needs to be better coordinated.

If all 10k students in the App student section were as rowdy as the students at an A&T basketball game we'd have the best home field advantage in the FBS.NO.2 wrote:A la THE DAWG POUND?Gonzo wrote:Ley's get some playlist requests for DJ Kiss My Apps on the wheels of steel./\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 wrote:What's your playlist looking like? In that picture the grass on stadium lot is going to require some revision. The intention for that space was for it to be a paver lot that allows grass to grow through...appgrouch wrote:From the now approved 2025 master plan.

The problem is that is not feasible in Boone. As soon as it snows, the plows would tear it up.

No App Master Plan yet has been 100% implemented. I don't think any one has even been 50% implemented.

No, the big "app" replacement of Owens will take care of that.1ASU78 wrote:Not liking the deck in stadium lot. I like to have cake and eat it too. Will that deck interfere with sight lines of campus?
