Nice to be mentioned in that context. However, the stars would have to align perfectly for that to be a possibility. Each of the following would have to happen - at a minimum - for any Sun Belt team to have a shot:

1. Go undefeated and win the CCG
2. Beat 2+ ranked teams (at least top 15)
3. Hope that there are less than 4 P5s with 0 or 1 losses

For App, the difficulty is scheduling and beating top ranked teams every year. Just one signature win wouldn't do it with the Sun Belt being as weak as it is. Generally we only play one P5/ranked team each year, with 2016 being an exception.

The Chants won the CWS as members of the Big South, not the Sun Belt. I stopped reading there.

The point of an article like this is purely for fun. Can it happen, yes. As SayYes said, a perfect storm would have to happen. Writer even said it would basically require the G5 to run the table back to back to even Set the table for the possibility.

So now that we have a Sun a Belt title in our pocket let's start the next chapter by running the table in 2017 and start shaking up the college football world. Again.

APP has won it's last playoff game until the format is changed. Realignment similar to a world we just "moved up" from is the only chance, may never happen. The money cartel isn't letting anyone share in their money, period.
