This is a great group of men.

It is sad that Corey Lynch can not find it in his heart to be with his team brothers. I hope that one day that will pass.

He's far from the only player from that era that feels that way. I was not happy, and I've moved on but I don't expect all former players that were recruited and had a special bond with Moore to have moved on. They will at their own pace.

The administration that mis-handled the Moore thing is no longer there, right? So those players are only hurting themselves and it's a shame that they're missing out, life is too short. Celebrate life while you can...

Grow up. Coach Moore has obviously gotten over it and is still involved with the program. Why the hell can't Corey Lynch get over it?

I don't know for a fact that that's why Lynch or anyone else wasn't in that segment. But if anyone is still holding a grudge over Coach Moore:

Time to get over it.

- Jerry Moore has appeared publicly at KBS to be honored.
- The guy who let him go (he wasn't fired) is gone.
- Once you read the back story (and it's been publicly reported), it becomes clear that Moore put Cobb in a tough situation.
- It was clearly the right move, especially given who we hired to replace him.
- Finally, the guy running the program has spent virtually his entire adult life helping build App State football into what it is today.

If you're a former player and you can't support Scott Satterfield and App State today, that says more about you than it does about anyone else.

Thinks we "got too big for our britches". Self righteousness does seem to be contagious, maybe he spends too much time with daddy in law.

Ya'll are talking out of yer asses. He's been in Alaska guiding wounded veterans and their spouses fly fishing through Samaritan's Purse with Operation Heal our Patriots. Don't get your selfish panties in a wad. Some players go on to do better things than playing a sport.

Agree that nothing should be said. No one knows why Corey wasn't in the segment but if you look at who was, it's a bunch of athletes from that era that either live in Boone now or within the surrounding area. Corey does not. Why are we not talking poorly about Armanti or Kevin Richardson not being in the segment? They can't have everyone in it.

I think I had a little tear in my eye at the end of that video. Lots of great memories from that day.

I definitely teared up. Pretty awesome. I wish Big Ten Network would release/allow App to release a high res copy of the game.

Lynch and his family have spent the Summer in Alaska working with Wounded Warriors. I think he had a good excuse.

There are many things I will always remember about my time at Appalachian State University. This by far tops the list. Had the movie Rudy effect on me. In other words made a grown man tear up. It has and always will be great to be a Mountaineer.

Great piece. My wife and I were at the game and she was crying her eyes out today when ESPN put this on GameDay. Have to admit I got a little mist eyed too. Love all those players, especially Coco Hillary and Julian Rausch.

I just hope none of our players lands in legal trouble like Rudy did later in life.

Self righteous. Really? Neither one of them are self righteous.
But.
Reading through these post the thing that has struck me is the heart felt response to the segment. I watched it with watery eyes and smiles. Wife watched it same thing. App alum love ASU and understand what it's like to be David vs. Goliath. But the expressions on those guys faces, Rouch "I feel like I'm about to kick again " & when they watched the kick get blocked they celebrated again. & I was so happy for them. A special day for ASU and all Apps past, present and future.
