It's embarrassing... and we are the only team in America that has kicking issues like this over and over and over and over and over and over and over... good lord fix what ever the problem is.
When you hear espn announcers talk about how undisciplined the team is ??? It's time to fix what ever the problem is imo.

Embarrassing pretty much sums it up.

This wasn't just a kicking issue. Our team lost this game. Why was Letman leaning forward on the 4th and 4 punt when he was in coverage? That first down gave them a TD drive. We had a lot of mistakes on both sides of the ball and special teams. We looked focus some of the time and at others we looked selfish. Great game though. We hung tough and almost got this one. Next time deacons.

Yep, that's it. We are the only team with kicking woes. New holder, blocking scheme up front was compromised. The other team figured it out. It will get cleaned up. But we are all worrying about the kicking game after a win if the guy stays onside.

If you weren't embarrassed after that, you weren't watching the same game. Wake didn't win that game, we lost it.

Not an embarrassing loss, however once again, the job doesn't get done!! Close only counts in hand garlands and horse shoes. No moral victories here, still didn't get the job done!!!!

On the bright side I seriously thought pregame that we would be blown out.

On the down side we had every opportunity to win that game. Forget special teams. Our problem is penalties/discipline.

I don't disagree that we lost it, and should have won, but that wasn't my point. The defense played a great game sans two drives. The offense showed a potent passing game attack, our Freshmen are growing up in front of our eyes. Vigil made a stupid Freshman action that cost us yardage. Letman's in inexcusable.. Geezus dude, we were a nearly 6 point dog to a P5 team. This performance showed to me that the sky isn't falling, a 10-2 regular season record is still possible, and that we have a lot of talent in the cupboard. We didn't play well enough to win last week and we won. We played well enough to win today and we lost. That's how the ball bounces. I would rather win conference games then P5s. Sorry to be an out of the box thinker.

Wake is only a P5 in name though. They will be lucky to win one of their next 5. Just lost to the bottom of the P5 barrel.

Yes, actually eating crow right now as compared to my prediction. Let me clarify OP. The best team did not win. I don't care how great we played compared to Wakes opponents. We were fucking better and lost. That is embarrassing. Thanks Apps for playing your hearts out, I am a lifelong fan and I am embarrassed because you do not get the credit you deserve today!!! As a former player agree we played great on defense most of the game but the penalties, discipline, blocked field goals, game-winning field goal blocked, special-teams just look terrible today, and are kicking game needs a lot of work! We should've won that game by four points at least or should be going into overtime.

Embarrassing is the correct word, but I'm not directing it at the team.

Soooooo many discipline issues. Too many to even count. Discipline has been an issue in every single game so far this year. That is 100% all on coaching.

And no one try to say "this game isn't on Rubino" either. He left 7 points on the board tonight. He blew it. He's our kicker and I support him, but this is his third year here now. It's okay to blame games on him.

Should be embarrassed that fans are spitting on our (Wake) players.

We lost the game at the end of the half. Two trips inside the red zone, three points total. We had the chance to go into the half up 2 scores. We left serious points on the field there.

Outside of some crappy play calling offense (especially our wide receivers) looked very good. Lamb threw the all well and defense played well

Agree, Scott is a great, say again great coach. He is growing just like the App program. No blame on him or the team from me. Just plain SAD that we will not get the credit we deserve. We lost end of discussion outside of App nation and that sucks for Sat and these kids!
