Jerry Moore and FBS

A couple have said Jerry has stated he wants no part of FBS. Strange I've never heard him say such. Not giving his opinion about FBS and stating his feelings against the move are entirely too different things. All I've EVER heard him say (including personal conversations) is that it is an administrative decision and he would go with whatever that decision might be. I'd like to hear a quote of him being against the move. I do agree with him thinking about the financial end of such a move, but still have never heard or seen a quote saying he was against it. :?:

Why don't you just answer the question instead of just being a smart azz? Or can you?

That was the best he could do since he couldn't answer the question. I liked my reply better. Sums him up.

I must admit his reply made my nose burn when the soda went through it.

I wish it had been moonshine. That would have singed your nose hairs.

If it had been moonshine I would not have been in front of a computer. I would have been hanging out with my West Virginia friends (aka Half Lit) in Cumberland/Springfield area. Take a listen.

This is hardly a ringing endorsement.

Appalachian football coach Jerry Moore added, “I trust and respect our administration and all of the hard work that they and the committee have put into this issue over the past several months. I fully support the recommendation of the committee and have no doubt that they have the best interests of Appalachian and our athletics department and football program in mind.

Sounds like when you tell your wife......yeah honey I really hope that works out for you. When you really want to tell ask her........ what the hell are you doing.

That;s what I said he has always been quoted as. That's a far cry from the posts on here which said he wanted no part of FBS. Don't you think?

I think the key is not in what he said but what he didnt say. He didnt use terms like exited or great opportunity or cant wait. He played the "company man" card very well. I wouldnt say he hated the idea but its pretty clear it wasnt his first choice.

I've never disagreed with that, in fact that is what I've said all along. Again, I'm just saying it's a far cry from wanting no part of FBS.

Coach Moore has always struck me as a man of few words. Given that, I wouldn't read too much into what was said or unsaid pertaining to BCS move.

JC-Just because there isn't a quote out there or it wasn't mentioned when one person talked to him doesn't mean it wasn't said to another person while riding in a golf cart heading to his ball.
