Block A
I have a favor to ask. Does anyone have a full size helmet with block A decal? If so, would you pleas measure out the dimensions please? I need the width at the base and the heighth. Thank you.
Re: Block A
3 and 3/4" across on the base, and 4 and 1/4 " on the heighth. Of course the helmet is curved so i adjusted as best as I could.
Hope that helps. Looking at one I bought this year black with gold lettering.

Re: Block A
Unrelated but I thought this while watching the game, I wish the block A on the field was about twice the size it is now. I love the big bold in your face A on the top of the score board and I'd love to see the same on the field.

Re: Block A
Funny you should mention that. As I was watching the game, I was wondering if they will put a black A down when they replace the turf.

Re: Block A
I wish they would. The white A looks dingy with all the black turf pellets showing up on the white turf
The mountains are calling and I must go

Re: Block A
I thought this was going to be about our block A shrubs needing more bush and was prepared to respond in the manner God intended.... but, nope.
The missing bushes at the top of the A bother me almost as much as ice and slow drunk people bother others.
I will try to carry on.

Re: Block A
I'm fine with a white A on the field (though I'd have to see what a black A would look like....anybody with photoshop skills) but we are a little wishy washy on our use of / commitment to the black A. I guess it's officially both.

Re: Block A
Thanks.. It is VERY crude but I think you get the idea. Also in the picture (probably can't see it) is a "skip" then a thin white outline around yellow text in end zones.

I haven't noticed, but if you're talking about what I think you are, I'm sure a quick PM to John, the PBR Beer Hat Guy, will allow you get the volunteer schedule for when would be a good time to bring some bushes over to the stadium and put on your work gloves...NoLongerLurking wrote: ↑Mon Oct 01, 2018 5:51 pmI thought this was going to be about our block A shrubs needing more bush and was prepared to respond in the manner God intended.... but, nope.

As for ice, if I were allowed to bring in my own cooler of ice, I would.
I'm all about solving the problems I'm able to solve and bitching about the ones someone else has to solve!

Re: Block A
I looked up mid-field college logos and only saw 1 that extended over hash marks... UAB. Now, you have me wondering.HighlandsApp wrote: ↑Mon Oct 01, 2018 8:03 pmAre schools not allowed to have logo extend through the hash marks?

Re: Block A
Not that Western Carolina is a great of example of most things. But their WCU catamount logo goes through the hashes.YesAppCan wrote: ↑Wed Oct 03, 2018 4:57 amI looked up mid-field college logos and only saw 1 that extended over hash marks... UAB. Re: Block A
My least favorite part of the logo by far, but to each their own. To me that script is very amateur and childish looking.mtnrmaineac wrote: ↑Tue Oct 02, 2018 5:28 amShould use the Mountaineers script from the block A in both end zones.

Re: Block A
I suppose that having it go through the hashes would be a bit tricky to put in place and see clearly but it would sure look sharp to have a GIANT Block A or a GIANT victory Yosef on the field. I am one of the few who believe that we should embrace and use Victory Yosef as out primary; it is uniquely ours.
