Eagles have put the ball on the carpet 21 times. Need to capitalize on that a couple of times.

Re: *GAME NOTES* Ga Southern
In regards to the radio affiliates, I was driving from Charlotte to Carrboro this past Saturday morning and I was able to listen to the pregame the whole way: 97.3 from Charlotte to around Salisbury/Lexington area, then 93.7 to Burlington area, then 104.5 the rest of the way to Carrboro. I only mention because maybe 93.7 and 104.5 should be added.

I made a Wikipedia article some years ago for our IMG network. I am not sure when it was last updated but that may be worth doing even if AppState is not going to update it.

Re: *GAME NOTES* Ga Southern
Dear Yosef, it is out of date. 2012-2013 was mentioned though the last edit was over the summer. The list of stations may be correct but the names of the talent is certainly not up to date.

Serious response - it's basically like using your radio, except that it's on your phone. I've got a phone holder in my jeep that basically covers up most of my radio screen and use it from there.

Is the radio following the lighter's path in a car?BeauFoster wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2019 12:36 pmSerious response - it's basically like using your radio, except that it's on your phone. I've got a phone holder in my jeep that basically covers up most of my radio screen and use it from there.

bluetooth. and if you don’t have blue tooth then Aux. cable and if you don’t have Aux cable either then one of those tape deck adaptors and if you don’t have tape deck adaptor you can buy $15 aux cable speaker at dollar general and if none that applies, 2 campbell soup cans and a piece of string!

You can also get a bluetooth adapter that plugs into the lighter outlet. Connect your phone and it broadcasts an FM signal to any FM frequency you want.APPRIDE wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2019 12:48 pmbluetooth. and if you don’t have blue tooth then Aux. cable and if you don’t have Aux cable either then one of those tape deck adaptors and if you don’t have tape deck adaptor you can buy $15 aux cable speaker at dollar general and if none that applies, 2 campbell soup cans and a piece of string!![]()

Re: *GAME NOTES* Ga Southern
Two things.
Thing one-My truck was built after cassettes were dropped and before Aux cables so I purchased a small FM transmitter that connects to the audio out of the phone and sends an FM signal to the radio. It works good. For my cars with an Aux cable I use those cables and I have one car that has a cassette and I use the cassette adapters that are not bad. The advantage to the last two options is that neither require a battery to work.
Thing two-I had the soup cans and string set up at my school and I come in Monday and it is gone. I think the custodian took it down. I'll make another. Kids these days don't play like some of us did years ago and they are fascinated this works.

I'd say you just use it like any other streaming app, you should be good as long as you have data. I use the Tune In app all the time for the game without an issue but I've only done it at home with a wi-fi connection because I'm too cheap to get the higher data package, lol.

Re: *GAME NOTES* Ga Southern
I started listening to App State on TuneIn pretty early on in the life of that app, since I can't get over-the-air radio in Richmond VA. Back in 2003 and 2004, in the dark ages of online radio streaming, it was really hard to find App State broadcasts. I had to go through every affiliate station to find one that even streamed on the app and most stations that streamed would not actually stream the game - but rather something else when the game was going over air. And you had to do that every week because streaming was inconsistent, some weeks a station would be playing the game, some weeks gospel music, and some weeks it was offline. The Johnson City/Bristol affiliate at the time was the most consistent. Now its much easier since IMG streams it direct to TuneIn.
When I moved to Richmond in 2001 from Charlotte, a few years after graduating, I briefly lost touch with App State sports, despite Richmond being only a few hours further from Boone, because of the lack of coverage in radio and media.
TuneIn was a Godsend. I am so glad I discovered TuneIn and re-discovered my love for the Mountaineers in time for the '05 playoff run. There are so many other options now that is easy to forget how exciting it was to first discover App State sports streaming online
