Re: Rules adjustments
This is off the initial topic but references your comment about crying holes - True story, I used to go to a lot of games at the DeanDome as my best friend has had tickets since the day it opened. I quietly rooted for whomever they were playing. One night an opponent player was driving toward the basket late in a close game. The ref blew his whistle and called a foul on the unc player. The opponent's shot went in. The hole fan on the other side of me was screaming his head off about being a terrible call, all the while the ref was ruling it was before the shot so the opponents only got the ball out of bounds - no basket --- the guy was still screaming and I just couldn't hold my tongue - I said to him - "You do understand that if the ref hadn't blown his whistle, the basket would have counted because he made the basket" - the guy was still up on his feet yelling when he heard me - He sat back down and said - "the f-ing refs are always screwing US"

Re: Rules adjustments
I think that sums up the essence of their fans; always think they are the underdog and everyone has it out for them. In reality though they get more benefit of the doubt than anyone outside of the team in Durham. My personal favorite is when their fans tell you they care about football when you beat them/or they are having a down year (decade) but as soon as they win a couple of games they'll tell you they are a diehard football school.WVAPPeer wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 9:56 amThis is off the initial topic but references your comment about crying holes - True story, I used to go to a lot of games at the DeanDome as my best friend has had tickets since the day it opened.
