Opinion from the "Scout Offense"

Ok, this is my first post on the new board.
My son who is red shirted and on the scout offense was saying how good our defense looks. He said they seem to get better every practice which is a good thing.
The coaches have also commented that this year's scout offense is one of the most talented they have had in many years so I do think they have given the starting defense a pretty good test.
He also said that ECU has some of the strangest blocking schemes he has ever seen.
Just a little food for thought. I am so excited for the season. I feel that we are now part of a WONDERFUL family! I can't wait to get out for a game or 2 this year. I just have to work around my youngest son's football schedule which so far is not cooperating with the App games.

Well I hope you can make it up for the Montana game since it's later in the evening. That should be a raucous game!
Glad to hear that the defense is playing well against the scout team. To your knowledge, are they expecting ECU's trend of 60%/40% pass-to-run ratio for this game? What sort of strange blocking schemes does your son speak of? Did your son mention which defense we most often lined up in (3-4, 3-3-5, 4-3)?

Good questions. I will ask Zack when he calls tonight.
I would love to come to the Montana game. Problem is my youngest has a 3pm game in Kannapolis. I just don't see any way to make it. Might have to talk to the wife and see if she cares if I go to Boone instead. I hope we can all make at least 1 game as a family. She has never been to a "real" college football game so I think she would really have a great time.

That's encouraging news. Thanks. I pray your son stays healthy and will enjoy four glorious years of eligibility after this redshirt freshman year.

Welcome to the App family. Gonna need a stout D while our O is growing and improving through out the year. Tell that scout team to keep pushing the D as hard as they can.

When you do make it up for a game be sure to stop by tailgate 362 in the stadium lot and join some fellow Mooresville Blue Devils before the game.

Sure you can make it. Montana is a 6:30 kickoff. Its not that far to Kannapolis. You might be a bit late, but come on anyway. BTW, there's an added bonus to arriving late. Traffic police leave their posts at kickoff, so just drive on up to the front gate to park. It will be worth it.

Well worse news. They moved my son's game to 4:15 now. Which means 4:30 at best. I wish they would have moved it up 1 hour and not back 1 hour. Hopefully he gets a nice 10am game in the next few weeks and we can easily make it out for a 3:30 game.
Thank you all for your hospitality. I can't wait to meet you for a tailgating session!
