Re: SC to allow college ath. to make money
I think over 10,000 followers on Instagram let’s people do swipe up ads. Why not let them at least monetize their own social media? It’s ridiculous that content creators that play college sports don’t have the opportunity to make money off themselves.
Also, if you don’t think these 4 and 5 star recruits already aren’t going to the highest bidder in one way shape or form, I’ve got beachfront property in Kansas to sell you.

Emmett got a contract extension not long ago.
Duke paid Zion. Nothing new there. It’s just out in the open.

If people believe that Dookie knew nothing about Zion being compensated while attending dook, then the AFAM classes at UNC were legitimate. to UNC fans.. and State fans believe the kids were attending class during the Valvano era...and Wake fans.. Hmmm, got nothing here..

This will continue to drag out in court for years. There doesn't seem to be a denial that he wasn't paid but he is getting off the hook because the marketing firm didn't have the right license for the state.
They also had a guy wired in 2018 catch an agent trying to recruit him to Kansas talking about how Zion was asking for money and a house for his family to get him to play somewhere.
That kind of mess is the real legacy of the one and done era.

Re: SC to allow college ath. to make money
I guess what I'm saying is lets set these kids of for true lifelong success. So much money, use the bulk of it to help with real tutors and life coaches. You want to give college kids 100 - 200k fine, but without some education on how to best use it, it really has only very short term benefits. Their are basic, basic wealth building principles out there that a majority of college students do not understand, especially ones coming from modest financial situations . . . these things are paramount to learn for life success.
