As Appalachian State goes from FCS to FBS, let me just say it has been a honor for Appalachian to be member of the Southern Conference all of these years. We have come such a long way, and I will always be proud of our time in this division.
I am also so very proud of this moment for my school. We have a whole new mountain range to climb, and now, the sky is truly the limit. It is truly Great to be a Mountaineer!

I also want to congratulate the old heads that have been waiting for this day since the early 80's. Kudos for your dedication to your alma mater, and while it may not have happened as quickly or in the manner that you would have liked, the day has finally arrived. I am proud of my school, and excited for its future. Go Apps!
