ASU & GSU in same division is cool. But does that mean we may never play each other for the SBC title? Can you imagine that game day? Whoo Wee!

And who is replacing WKU?

We'll probably get no say in that, anybody remember when it is that we and GSU get a vote?

We get a vote starting in May, at least that was what was said during today's press conference. JMU or Liberty would likely replace WKU. JMU already has an invitation it is just a matter of if there ready and if they want to join the Sun Belt. If both of those answers are a yes, then they will replace WKU.

If a western member leaves which could happen, they would likely add Sam Houston State or Jacksonville State. The cupboard for potential new western members is getting thinner and thinner though.

This will definitely be interesting since Tulsa will soon be officially a part of the Old Big East. This leaves only 13 teams in the C-USA, and that is where WKU will be invited to join. WKU could be gone to CUSA within the next few weeks. The Sun Belt would then add a new team to the East to replace WKU.

There was a report today that I was going off of. The fact of the matter is that the Sun Belt would like JMU to join. It is by far the conference's best option to replace WKU. Liberty would be second in line probably. Jacksonville State could be a sleeper. Agreed?

Montana should be added football only. There is no reason they shouldn't, Idaho is just as far. Others that I'd like to see added are James Madison and/or Liberty. Missouri State is also a popular one with other Sun Belt fans.

Montana has had the opportunity before and they weren't interested. I would be surprised if they would be interested in joining the Sun Belt. Though, if they were, I wouldn't view it as a negative especially when compared to Idaho.

I hope JMU would replace W. Kentucky, but if not, I'd rather have Chattanooga than Liberty. Decent facility, good market, at times good football and basketball, public university, puts the conference back in Tennessee...

Chatt is not leaving the FCS anytime soon, their administration has done such a piss poor job managing the athletic dept through out the years that even if they were tempted to move up, they cant. The atlhletic budget is in shambles, I believe they reported a a loss last year, if they are "in the red now", cant imagine what would happen to their budget if they had to fund additional programs and schlorships. If they start working on a plan to move up now, maybe they will be ready in 7-10 years.

I think JMU is the most likely add in the East. It would not surprise me to see Missouri State as an add in the West, especially if the entry was a delayed one (for a year or so.)
