Besides looking like am SEC back, hopefully 6 will continue to gain experience. Thought he made strides last year from beginning of year from running to where play tells him to where to find a hole if play does not develope. Sometimes 3 to 4 yards is all you need.
This a ball security are two things the staff is harping on for him this year...
Great points AppStateNews on securing the rock. I believe Peoples and Noel will be ready to go.

Keys for Offensive Team success are based on executing individual fundamentals.

- Eliminate pre-snap penalties
- Maintain ball security at all times
- Dominate the line of scrimmage and get to the second level assignment, as well as WRs blocking down field
- Pass protect and don't force throws to receivers that are not open

We are replacing 3 starters on the O-Line. Who on the O-Line depth chart is putting in the work and ready to have a breakout year?

1991, those are really great breakout player picks for both sides of the ball. Daley will most likely start at Guard. I'm ready to seem him pancake block like Neuzil did over his career. DDP is a sleeper and will rotate with "Big" Earle. Both play with leverage and have good hand technique. DDP can take on two blockers and still be in on the tackle.

I would love to see Jacob Huesman start and play a game. I just have the feeling he is better than we know.

The backup quarterback is always one of the most popular amongst fans. Hope springs eternal. I do agree that I think he is better than any of us have seen but I really hope that Chase just blows everyone away and is two step ahead of Jacob because if he is that good our season will be something to remember.

They said last year that we could win with QB1 (ZT) or QB2 (JH). I don't think that has changed. We can and will win with Jacob. It will be interesting to see what new wrinkles Ponce brings in. I also expect new formations with 4 or even 5 receivers. Spread the field and make quick decisions to playmakers or he can tuck it and run for the first down.

I too hope we put the very best QB on the field T4Pizza. I also think if QB1 can't get the offense to click we be willing and confident enough to give QB2 a series or two to change game momentum/outcome. Got to do what it takes to get the Dub "W".

I completely agree and don't understand why so many coaches have a hard time pulling a struggling qb. Sometimes it can be the best thing for everyone involved. Spurrier was about the only coach I remember that treated the qb the same as other positions, if the guy struggled the next guy went in.

It sure feels good to know we have a competent, comfortable and seasoned QB2 for the 2021 season.

Already made my player picks, but I am excited to have Coach Ponce back on the mountain. There's just something about the positive way that he handles players and calls a game!!!

To be fair, we don't know how he calls a game yet. We know how he game plans on offense, but he's not called a game yet for App.

He did most of the game planning here, but Satt called the plays.

That said, I'm also excited to see him back!

Jolly and Jones will most likely be the corner starters. Who do you predict will be playing behind them on the depth chart?

I am anxious to see how Ponce works Pearson into offense, would like to see him targeted when we are inside the 20 or 15 yard line. Also on the 3rd and short plays use the big backs that can pound the line. Don't we have a new back coming in the 225-230 range, somebody that will not go down on the first hit. I am thinking of the type back Marshall had last time we played them.

Predict is a bold statement. With Wright gone, I imagine that Small comes in and backs up one side. He can actually play either. Cone probably backs up the other for now.

I believe that you are referencing Jahmir Smith. He is from Sanford and a Norte Dame transfer.

Isn’t Blackstock back as well? He was the starter at NT before the injury last year and was very solid the year before.

- Special Teams Specialists -

- Will either Trey Schaneville or Michael Hughes push Chandler Staton for Place Kicking duties?

- Will Clayton Howell push Xavier Subotsch for punting duties? Howell was a Freshman All American.

- Who will will handle kickoffs duties?

I want someone capable of kicking it out of the end zone when asked.

How about which of the transfers will have the biggest impact: Offense- Brice, Helms….. Defense- Head
