Hearing the Olympics Theme (Bugler’s Dream) on the tv. Getting us ready for App touchdowns and following kickoffs.

Ha! Same here. At the beach with family. When I shouted, POINT!, only the App fans understood!!

When my daughter was 4 years old in 1988 she was already a seasoned veteran of App football. We were watching the Olympics and she was sick and laying on the couch. When the music came on the TV she sat up and pointed onto the air. It was classic. She ended up going to App and 33 years later is still pointing that finger!

I only just know learned of the connection the song has to western NC. I love Wikipedia.
