App comes in at #50

https://www.espn.com/college-football/s ... erformance
50. Appalachian State: 28.7 (5.5 coach stability, 14.8 roster stability, 8.4 performance stability)

You never know when your culture is going to be tested, but App State's passed in 2020. The Mountaineers went 9-3, with two losses coming in the final two minutes, despite playing under their third coach in three seasons. After Scott Satterfield (Louisville) and Eliah Drinkwitz (Missouri) left, Shawn Clark took over capably, and if he's got a quarterback in 2021, App will contend in the increasingly competitive Sun Belt.

Meh, stability is easy when you're team is a loser.

They have Troy as the most stable Sun Belt team. Not sure the metrics are appropriate to really gauges stability. Giving us low marks in coaching stability because our last 2 coaches went FBS ignores the fact that Clark is a Mountaineer who says that he got into coaching for this job and plans to be here as long as he can. Anyways, I don't put much stock into this one.

I have no problem with the ranking. In addition to having three head coaches in 4 years, we've had 3 offensive coordinators (4 if you count Dorsey  ), multiple changes in assistant coaches, etc. The 5.5 is a fair rating.

The fact that we keep winning in certainly great for our program. We also keep getting mentions in these articles (paragraph vs. just a rating), which means our program is on the map nationally.

Now does stability have any factor in predicting success for 2022????? Probably not.
