Turnovers and the kickoff TD hurt us badly. We out gained Marshall by a wide margin both in yds and TOP, but that only matters if/when you put more points on the board. Wish we would’ve won by more, but these wins build character.

Still thrilled by that last drive. Good blocking, great running and smart to go down instead of scoring the TD.

We are fortunate to have Chase Brice. Ill ride with that dude all day long. To bounce back from a few mistakes and stay all in is a huge testimony to his grit. Great performance by Noel, the D and the receivers. Tighten up a few things we need to work on and we will end up very pleased as fans at the end of the season. Great coaching and game management by Clark and the crew. Great to be a Mountaineer!

on turnovers is a bad equation for winning.

I really don’t know how you say any of that. I get that it was tight, but dang, we held them to about half what they average in yards. We had 38 first downs. 38. Two turnovers, one on a first down gain and a kickoff return against us and still won. What do you want?

I don't recall stating that Zac was on the bench, just saying Zac is a better QB. I am entitled to an opinion.

But why even make a comparison between the two. It’s completely irrelevant. Its like you have an agenda. Do you feel that Chase transferring is a problem and that he shouldn’t be starting?

As others have mentioned, Brice is not getting much time and yet is getting the ball out to receivers fast enough to complete passes. Yes, he missed some and had the interception, but he made a lot of others that resulted in enough points to win. I really do not think we have had a quarterback that can get the ball out as fast as he does; and that has been critical in our wins. I am thrilled we have him and hope he stays another year.

What a game!!!!! I hate the Blundering Turds and really wanted to dominate them but this 1 point win is as sweet as any of them. We didn't play well but we hung in there and came back from 9 in the 4th quarter to a good team. We have yet to play a complete game but we are finding ways to win and that matters. In Chase I trust. Sure, he missed some throws, but he made some also and he had some really gutsy runs from a guy that really can't run. I will take him all day long. I love using Nate as a true change of pace guy. He came in with fresh legs when their D was really wearing down and he just took it to them. And what a heads up play going down on the 5 yard line instead of scoring that td. Talk about a team player. He hasn't hit pay dirt yet this year and he had a wide open shot and pulled back for the benefit of the team. That is a really hard thing for a competitor to do. He showed a lot tonight. I really can't say enough about this win. We gave up a kick off return, missed tackles, had an interception and fumble which led to 10 points, got pushed around on both lines for a good part of the night, was down by 9 entering the 4th and we still found a way to WIN. This is a character building win and I am so proud of our players and coaches. Go Apps!
