Marshall rolled up over 600 yards of offense against ECU and a couple bad breaks cost them. We better be ready.

last years game result should have our attention. It’s going to be tough one Thursday.

Their QB must have had some great therapy sessions in the off-season. Wells was not very good in last 3 to 4 games in 2020. He has had two games over 300 yards and one over 400 yards this year. I realize the competition has not been the most feared, however, you are doing something right to compile that amount of yards. I actually believe this game may be a FG at the end.
We need our crowd to show up and be the 12th person on the field.

This one is interesting to look at.

Their QB is lighting it up pass wise and they are averaging 600 yards per game??? Looks like they have the ability to put a lot of points on the Board. They are a team that if they get off to a fast start could blow your doors off. Our pass defense versus their pass offense....

Hope we are dialed in defensively and ready. Our offense should want to prove something after the egg we laid last year.

Marshall beat us up front on both lines last year. Their DBs were physical and fast. This will be a tough game!

Having all WRs and healthy ones should help us on that this year compared to last.

Marshall dared us to throw last year, knowing that was their best option to stop our offense (based on available players). It worked. That same strategy will not likely work this year, based on our roster and the number of receivers who have seen touches so far this season.

If they pull a Richmond and stack the box, Chase could very well break records.

Ii dont think Marshall has seen a defense like ours. And if they expect the same offense as last years, theyre in for a surprise!

That was ugly. A lot of it started with the Onside kick. The ironic part is an ex-NCAA-level football coach has been saying since Huff was hired last Jan. When he hired the ST coach was not to be desired. Turned out to be true. Hopefully, Thursday will be a good game.

We are a much different team than last year. I fully believe our coaches and players were in some sort of "significant game" hangover after Miami and CLT/ECU Saturday and we will come out and rock Marshall early. I may be on an island, but I don't think the game will be close. Just a gut feeling.

I feel like Marshall is going to be the “breakout” game this season where everything just clicks for the team. Looking forward to it!

I agree with you, but it’s not just a gut feeling. We’ve got the better defense, and the better defense usually wins. You see above everyone talking about how many yards Marshall had, but what about how many yards and points they gave up to ECU? Marshall didn’t stop ECU from doing anything, they just out scored them. We win, and I’d be surprised if it was by less than 2 touchdowns.

Actually they DIDN'T outscore ECU, which I believe enhances your point.

Similar to others, I’d be surprised if this is a close game.

Marshall has turned it over 3x in all games this season. Try that with App and you’ll get blown out.

Combine that with the best defense they’ve seen, an offense with a full receiving corp and a qb that can make any throw, I just can’t see this one going the herds way.

It can be close if they do not turn it over and if we struggle on Offense like we did early last game.

We have to do better on 3rd down (33% conversion rate) and red zone TDs (57%). In both areas we are way behind the 2019 Apps (44.5% and 78%). Last year we converted 3rd downs at better than 50%. Our red zone TD efficiency is about the same as last year.
