Please tell me who app missed on? Clark may actually stay for more than two years and create some stability. As has been noted, the drink hires will always leave as soon as something better comes along. And your position we don’t win the bigs ones is laughable. Ok. We’ve lost a bunch of close games to p5 schools with superior talent. I don’t really view that as a slight against our program.
You also are in love with coastal now after their ONE successful season during a pandemic where they beat BYU at home. They also promptly lost to liberty in their bowl game. I’m pretty sure we rolled to a win in ours. My point is I’m not seeing the gloom of our program the way you keep alluding.
Coaching was solid tonight, D showed up in the second half and we gutted one out.

I'll say this about last night's game: if you think Coastal is the better team, just look at the box scores. I encourage you to focus on the box scores in the 3rd/4th quarters.
App was choppy to start but settled down and rode Coastal like a rodeo show after halftime.

Great Win for App. We did not want two losses in a row to Coastal or two in a row on the season. Coaching
was good overall tonight especially when compared to play calling against ULL and if Coach Jones can
tighten up the secondary, we should be fine with Coach Clark moving forward.

Re: Coaching is the issue
I don't think any of us were wrong for calling out out coaching after last week. Something was off and despite a few extremist calling for "firing" or whatever, most were noting that the seat is getting hot. This team is loaded with talent and we should expect the most out of them. I guarantee you they are expecting more out of what we delivered last week- and it showed last night. I reserve judgement until I see how someone responds to adversity, and Clark and Co showed me they can handle it and respond in a big way. Now, let's win out and put that LALA game for in the rear view

I saw adjustments especially in the 4th on defense. We FINALLY brought pressure on mullet head. These coaches learned from their mistakes. And yes the play of the game was Malik’s sliding catch which we saw from the NEZ.

Just curious, what has to happen for the Championship game to be in KBS....besides us winning out...
If we win out..and say LaLa loses one or two conference games (get it that it is highly unlikely)...and are ranked below us
...would we host...or the fact that they beat us in head to head competition mean they automatically host?

Well, stating the obvious, we need to win the East first. Then we need someone other than Louisiana to win the West.Tbatchelor1977 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 21, 2021 8:29 amJust curious, what has to happen for the Championship game to be in KBS....besides us winning out...

BTW, whatever happened with that angry dude (12-something) challenging WV to meet him in the parking lot before the game?
Did they have a fistfight or a dance-off? Just wondering.

I just don't believe the seat was ever getting warm yet. If it was we probably need different people making decisions.appstatealum wrote: ↑Thu Oct 21, 2021 8:02 amI don't think any of us were wrong for calling out out coaching after last week. Re: Coaching is the issue
I'm thrilled about last night, but just a reminder that no game is a foregone conclusion. Troy and South Alabama both have winning records (USA hung a lot closer with Louisiana than we did). We also play an improved ULM (who just beat Liberty) and Georgia Southern (and we all know what that game can be like, even if they're terrible and ESPECIALLY if it means spoiling our fun).
But can we let it be a reminder that anyone can moan about coaches and players anytime they want, but demanding that a coach should be fired--that a loyal and capable coach should lose his job--every time a single game breaks a way we don't want it to... well, that's just a goofy look.

Let's be fair, most of the heat was coming from us.bcoach wrote: ↑Thu Oct 21, 2021 8:45 amI just don't believe the seat was ever getting warm yet. But after we strung together a few seemingly lackluster efforts, even if only for a few quarters, I'm sure some minds were wandering.
