Re: Myrtle Beach paper POST GAME
Listen, rushing the field was a great thing for the students. My son's were on that field Wednesday night and got some great pics with the players who were excited to have the students down there. My daughter said it reminded her when they rushed the field in 2007 after the Richmond win. A memory that she will never forget. The only problem is that the community college had to get their players across the field to get back to the locker room. That's going to be a major issue one day, it only takes one PO'd player to take offense to what some drunk 20-year old says.

I agree, I hope CCU loses a couple more times. Our road isn’t an easy as some think we may need another loss from them.

Bear Hunter came up in the stands. Pretty cool. Maybe some day that’s the alternative to fussing the field. Rush the stands.

If Yosef would implement a 2 minute rule to allow the other team to exit the field then allow access to congratulate the players/coaches it might help to keep people around until the end. I waited then made my way down and towards the NEZ and enjoyed shaking a few hands and giving some well deserved congratulations. Meet a few of the guys in person and it gets awful hard to beat them up on social media.

I'm now a Coastal fan for the rest of the season. We need them to win out as much as we need to do the same. Lord help us if the crap the bed like the U has as far as our SOS goes.

Assume we win out (still gotta take care of business, no free passes), it will feel good knowing Coastal is sitting at home in early December around the fireplace watching us play in the game they wanted to be in. I would bet there will be a lot of envy in that room.

Coastal does Coastal things:

Same for me. Against all odds I hate CCU more than GS.

Re: Myrtle Beach paper POST GAME
CCU kids from here want to "crow" about their close proximity to Surfside. It's 22 miles and 29 minutes if you hit all traffic lights on full green. Nobody can do that unless they're night-driving in Dec. or Jan. Conway < Surfside!Cro-Magnon App wrote: ↑Thu Oct 21, 2021 8:54 pmChadwell doesn’t bother me. He is doing what he has to do. The lack of a handshake after the game is no big deal. When people rush the field you got to get to your locker room quick as you can.
I don’t like the “rush the field” at all. Too many things can put a damper on a good win and our great university. Think about how many drunks or over-exuberant fans went over that wall and what could have happened. If a bad event occurred we would all be appalled. People get hurt, players making contact with fans for various reasons, damage to the field if some idiot wanted to do that, etc.. The old mantra is “act like you’ve been there.” And we have.
I don’t understand why people associate CCU with being on the beach. Conway is over 15 miles and 30 minutes from MB on a normal day.
GO APPS !!
If it happens to the Apps, it happens to me!

Re: Myrtle Beach paper POST GAME
I know you are coming from this as just an App fan but I want the profile of our league to be good because it helps us a lot. If both of them win out and we beat ULL in a rematch then all 3 of us would be ranked. If they lose a couple more times then we won't have a quality win and that hurts us when the polls matter at the end of the year.
I know we have many here who hate them but I'm glad we have good teams. Ga Southern and Troy have fallen off bad so I'm glad ULL and CCU have picked up the slack. Can't wait to have Marshall and USM as well. This league can be the top G5 league for sure within a couple years. AAC is taking a big step back and CUSA is probably down to the level of the MAC.

To be fair, I hated rushing the field because it validates their program. He said what I would have said to spin it in his favor

Bro, I'm tracking with everything you said except the "sitting around the fireplace" part.AtlAppMan wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 1:34 pmAssume we win out (still gotta take care of business, no free passes), it will feel good knowing Coastal is sitting at home in early December around the fireplace watching us play in the game they wanted to be in. Those dudes will be out in the yard, sitting around one of those 55 gallon drums while they burn trash.
