I don't think it really matters at this point how the beach chickens or even LaLa finish their season. We win out, win the East and win the SBC game and get the same bowl game no matter how the other teams do.

We would just like ULL to lose enough so we could host the game with us winning out. That would be nice.

One of his Assistant Coaches had impermissible contact with a potential recruit via social media. The Assistant was suspended for one game due to the violation and Chadwell served a one gamer for being in charge and allowing it to happen. Much ado about nothing and certainly not egregious enough to label him a cheater if you ask me. But no one did, so…

Ok, I just listen to Chadwells press conference that was today. Not ONCE did he mention our name or give One mention of how well we played. In fact he started talking about Troy in his opening comment and didn’t acknowledge the loss until asked.

I don't like the guy but he has a point. Never thought I would see the day we would rush the field for beating them. Just my opinion. That added to hearing for the hundredth time it was only the second time we beat a ranked team. It kind of set it up for him.

Well for the students....this is their first time and it wasnt us old geezers rushing the field. In all honesty I think it was icing on the cake of beating the smack talking, 1 good season, over-rated, mullet wearing, teal field beach chickens....... and a whole lot of relief that App aint dead yet.

Prior to the game I had posted a comment somewhere that basically said- AFTER we win I hope that we simply applaud the team and then leave (business as usual) and not rush the field. It’s hard to cap emotions especially drunk 18-22 year olds.

I really hated the repeated comment about the second top 20 win. I really don’t think that a win over a conference foe (no matter how good they are perceived to be) should end with rushing the field but whatever. Didn’t we just go to Coastal about 3 or 4 years ago and whip them with our backup QB? Except for a few miscues last year we should have won. They need to put in a body of work greater than a year and a half and maybe even knock off a solid P5 or something before they get crowned the big dog.

Fixed it

I think rushing the field was more a factor of the comeback, last second field goal win, than the opponent. If we had beat them by 2 touchdowns like usual, everyone would have been happy, but they probably wouldn't have rushed the field. It was pretty electric in old KBS by the end. Let the beach chicken's crow about it if they want but I have no regrets.

Yeah. Acting like you’ve been there before is fine for us because we HAVE been there before. However, these students have not been there before! Let’em have their fun.

The atmosphere of the game contributed to the students rushing as well. May not have happened if it was a normal daytime game on a Saturday.
