As much as I can't stand anything about unc I hope they have one loss this year.WVAPPeer wrote: ↑Wed Jun 22, 2022 10:53 amI have this several times on this board and have caught some grief - Mack Brown is a great recruiter and a mediocre coach - his teams have underperformed on his 2nd UNC tour (Now I do believe he was the right hire at the right time because Fedora was a dumpster fire) - Last season from a top 10 ranking with a "Heisman type QB" (?) to end with a losing record - I just hope his downward trend continues this season - well at least through the first couple of weeks ---

Re: UNC Game
After the BCS championship - which I thought was the best game I had ever seen a QB play (except for Armanti again Richmond) - his next 4/5 seasons were mediocre and continued mediocre at unc

Re: UNC Game
saw this on their board...what anonymous ACC coaches are saying about UNC this year....
"UNC star quarterback Sam Howell is off to the NFL, which causes some great concern among some anonymous coaches in the ACC who spoke to Athlon Sports as a part of their college football preview magazine.
“Everything about this program changed last season,” one anonymous coach said. “Now it feels like we’re looking at them differently. OK, you weren’t a top-10 team, but your head coach had everyone pumped up to believe that. Was he doing the hard sell, or did he believe it too? And if he did, that’s scary, because the problems were easy to spot.”
“They put everything on Sam [Howell] coming back, and it didn’t happen,” another anonymous coach said. “Now they’re down an NFL QB, they’ve lost three NFL running backs in three years, they’re turning over the line and basically they’ve got a few pieces at receiver. It could get ugly fast.”

there's some more, but they have a lot to overcome, and we catch them early.

I like the "it could get ugly fast" part.

"The Tar Heels are just under three months out from their opening game at home against Florida A&M on Sept. 3, with games at Appalachian State and Georgia State setting up a home showdown against Notre Dame, which will be their first real opportunity to prove themselves come the fall."

Re: UNC Game
What Appalachian does to UNC-Ch will have an impact on what the rest of the teams they play this year believe they can do to them, as well as, what UNC-Ch believes it can do to the teams they play this year.

Re: UNC Game
I think it has been on their schedule for a good bit but I can't verify that beyond the chatter on Yosef Cabin.

Re: UNC Game
Not for years.... Now we charge them $65 a ticket for The Citadel instead of the regular $45 single ticket price.

If you aren’t a Yosef Club member, I doubt any will be left for the general public.RiversRunsThroughIt wrote: ↑Sun Jul 10, 2022 5:15 pmAre there more tickets going on sale in August? I thought I read that back in the spring.

Re: UNC Game
Yep. If you aren’t a Season Ticket Holder, or a YC member, it isn’t likely that you are getting in.
