Looks like we get to add a couple more to this award.

It is a bit ironic that as bad as many on here feel our defense is playing, we held Troy to 75 yards less than their passing average and they only scored 7 in the second half. Makes the second week in a row an App was won Defensive Player of the Week honors. Also the second time we claim the Offensive Player of Week honors as Chase won the first week.

I can see the improvement in our defense (although we are a little banged up right now). I also think people will see that Troy win in a much better light by the end of the season. I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the SBC Championship game.

I firmly believe it will either be Louisiana, Troy, or Arkansas State and I would give Troy the edge based on how they looked against us as well. If we make it there that is partly my fear. They won't make the same mistakes.

I think Troy has an excellent chance of winning the West. Depth is their main issue so if they stay healthy, they have a good shot.
We get frustrated because App standards are very high. I think the defense was much better Saturday than in week 1. The main issue was tackling. I think that gets addressed and the D will continue to improve.
Congrats to Horn and Ross on the recognition! Both represent our school very well!
